Had a great night away here we booked directly via their webpage for the best price £98.10 bought the superior deal which gave us early access to the room 12’noon late checkout 2pm. We parked in London Rd carpark about 8mins walk considerably cheaper than the train staition carpark (which hotel suggested but they have no deal with staition carpark to get discounted rate so 24hrs is £33 we paid £15 at London Rd carpark)
The room was good quality clean, deal gave us double & single beds both very comfortable and great pillows. The b/fast was fab included in our price they deliver a continental b/fast to the room and you collect a hot b/fast from reception. Also included in the deal was 2small bottles of water in the room, tea & coffee making and biscuits. We were also allocated a voucher for a free Costa coffee each via reception served at the hotel. The hotel reception staff were welcoming helpful and informative. We were impressed with the hotel and it’s location walk to town was approx 14mins
As a guest you can have 10% off the meals served at the hotel, however the menu was quite basic, only one staff member visibly on duty on the dining area taking orders and small kids screaming around climbing on furniture - but we’re in central Brighton so walked to The 2 Butchers pub a few minutes walk from the hotel which serves fabulous Thai food and their drinks were reasonably priced.
Considering the circumstances and restrictions of Covid this hotel offered a great service thanks! My only criticism would be that discounted parking for guests would be a great incentive for people to stay as parking in Brighton is notoriously expensive

Arrived on 3rd of September for a couples trip. Upon arrival, could immediately tell they had good hygiene measures in place for Covid-19; felt very safe whilst there. First appearances of the room were really good, there was a slight issue regarding a stain on the bedding but when asked to provide a solution it was dealt with promptly. Air-con/heating device not the easiest to use, therefore if the weather had been colder, this may have caused more of an issue. Overall, the hotel staff were very friendly and wore appropriate PPE at all times. The hotel was in a great location with a 15 minute walk to the lanes/high street as well as only being 20 minutes to the seafront. At the moment, due to Covid-19 the hotel policy is that they cannot hold luggage; however there is a corner shop on west hill road which provides luggage holding for £5.

3 couples all rocked up on 14th Aug. None of the rooms had working air con! Not overly suprising considering the freak temps of the last couple of weeks! We were all moved immediately and 2 got room upgrades! Suspect covid had reduced the amount of guests staying in one way shape or form so a few spare rooms to choose from but no complaints here! Rooms were icy on our return! (Lovely!). Well sanitised rooms and fresh towels left by the door in a sealed bag each morning. Complimentry breakfast bags left on the Saturday presumably for moving rooms was a welcome bonus. Limited food and drink at the bar but something for all of us. Bar staff were great as were reception who done everything possible for us. Only reason for knocking a star from this review is the decor and fixtures in our room. Artex had vanished above the shower and the shower door lower runners were grubby. Big brown stain on the rooms carpet and the general standard of finish is just beginning to slide. Real minor complaints but Jurys Inns in my experience have always had very high standards for a reasonable price. Overall though we were all very happy with our stay and would definately return and recommend, just don't expect 5 Star standard although to reach this, not a lot of remedial work is required. Come on Jurys, raise your game slightly to achive what is expected!

Had a double room with superior package which gave us additional benefits such as early check in from 12.00 (although we understand this benefit has just been changed to the standard time of 15.00), late check out until 14.00, 2 x 500ml bottles of water and biscuits on arrival, one free Costa coffee each at the bar for each day of our week’s stay (although we had to remind reception of this) and 10% off all food & drink in the hotel throughout our stay (although the fish & chips we tried was nothing special for £13.50 - after discount).

If you are arriving at Brighton train station, to get to the hotel, turn left as soon as you go through the ticket barriers and follow the signed path through the inside of the station to where the taxi rank is, and the hotel is only about a 100m ahead from there. Do not go out through the main south exit of the station. Good location for the hotel as a base close to the train station and a nice easy walk to the North Laine and The Lanes areas and the promenade. We would recommend Donatello Italian at The Lanes who do 2 nice courses for £12 & 3 courses for £15. They also own Pinocchio’s and do the same deals, but it was not as nice an experience.

Our room had tea & coffee (obtain extra supplies from reception), free wifi throughout, fully controllable air con, bath, desk & chair, iron & board, hairdryer. You can choose not to have your room serviced if you wish (just advise reception). If you need say replacement towels or toilet roll, request at reception. Leave any dirty towels or the waste bins (to be emptied) outside your room. The negatives to the room were lumpy pillows, only 4 hangars provided, there are no drawers for your belongings and no fridge. There are black out curtains, but the light comes in to the room from the sides of the curtains.

Brighton is a large lovely resort, with lots going on along the lengthy Palace pier, with nice walks along the wide beach path - where there are bars, cafes, ice cream shops, children's rides - heading west to Hove (try The Rockwater bar & restaurant on Hove beach and a mooch along Hove's main street of shops, bars & restaurants). Also head east along the promenade to the lovely marina complex where there are plenty of 'chain' restaurants, McD's and a pub amongst other amenities. Aswell as walking, we hired bikes (£13 each for 3 hrs, or £17 for 4 hrs+) to go even further each way along the dedicated cycle paths, and you can easily get to Rottingdean & Saltdean cycling beyond the marina.

The hotel and resort are well recommended!

We booked this hotel for 3 nights at the end of July. We booked this hotel for this date under the proviso that all restrictions had been lifted by then which wasn't the case. When we arrived we were informed that our room would only be cleaned on every 4th day and breakfast would be delivered to the room door and hot baps were to be collected from downstairs at a specific time.

We weren't informed by reception that you could eat this downstairs so after collecting our breakfast off the floor in the corridor, we ate it on our bed with a one year old child getting food everywhere. I had ordered a vegetarian bap and after collecting this realised it was wrong and had to return it downstairs again.

We then asked for our bedding to be changed as it had breakfast crumbs on it, some more tea and coffee and for our bin to be emptied as it was full of breakfast and nappies from the week so far.
After asking for this four times, we were given some tea and coffee in a food bag. The bedding was not changed and the bins were not emptied.
We had yoghurt and milk in the bin and overflowing for three days.

The breakfast selection was poor. We were given a pre packaged pain au chocolate, warm orange juice, yoghurt and fruit each day. One of the days we had double fruit instead of yoghurt. Not sure why breakfast must still be done in this way and was disappointed at the lack of selection on offer.

The key cards wouldn't work most of the time.
We parked at the car park opposite and pre booked but this cost us £61 for 3 nights which makes the hotel more expensive.

Hotel was nice but seemed very under staffed. Location was good.
Wouldn't stay here again

We liked the central location, right beside train station with a short walk to the Lanes & taxi rank outside. The hotel has a bright modern interior, with a pleasant lobby area with sofas to relax on. Rooms were clean, spacious and had comfy beds.
The reception staff were very friendly and helpful (especially Cassandra!)
We paid a reasonable price for 2 rooms over 2 nights, including breakfast...

However, breakfast is a major let down - despite relaxation of Covid rules for several weeks, hotel is still not serving the breakfast buffet. The breakfast sent to rooms is very basic - yoghurt, cereal bar, stale croissant, juice. No choice & did not match my dietary needs. A hot option could be picked up from bar, but was very unpleasant tough roll with solid egg & fatty bacon. This was very disappointing when staying several days, and with kids who are especially hungry when they wake up! It is unreasonable not to reopen the buffet, when restaurants next door are fully operating. Even the hotel staff indicated they would like to reopen it, but the chain HQ will not allow them to.

Additionally, we were given a letter stating that room cleaning would only happen every 3 days “due to Covid”. Completely unacceptable - and surely Covid would make it necessary to clean more frequently, not less?

It seems like Jurys Inn HQ are using Covid as an excuse to avoid meeting basic standards of hotel management.

Booked here as we were struggling to find Hotel available, this was slightly further away from beach to where we would have like to be but actually it was perfect as quieter & a nice walk to the beach which takes about 15-20 mins.
Hotel reception appeared to be clean & tidy & staff were trying to adhere to COVID guidelines.
Check in was quick & simple, we were advised due to COVID the breakfast was in 2 parts bag delivered to room which was the continental part then you get to chose a bap to collect from restaurant in the morning at a set time.
Room was spacious we had an Executive King, bed was huge & at first glance room appeared to be clean but husband is taller than me there was a pile of dust on top of wardrobes & pictures! Surely if rooms are having deeps cleans this shouldn’t be here.
In the morning 2 bags arrived at our door which included 2 orange juices, 2 Pain au Chocolat’s, 2 fruit pots & 2 Chai overnight oats - let’s start with this bag juice beat bit, fruit pot had mouldy fruit in it, the Pain au Chocolat’s were rock hard & the Chai Oats looked & smelt disgusting! We thought oh well we’ll go grab our baps.
These consisted of a very small cheap bap, 1 sausage smaller than my little finger & not even cut to fit in bap so just rolled out, a very rubbery egg & soggy hash brown we both took 1 bite & put in the bin.
We went to reception & requested for the next 2 days breakfast’s to be cancelled, the receptionist apologised cancelled & refunded all 3 days.
However every day we still received the continental bags outside our room, when I called & questioned we were advised they did this as had bags left didn’t want them
To go to waste. Appreciated the gesture but unfortunately still went to waste.
Overall Hotel I would say is great location but there are a few bits that need work on with breakfasts & cleanliness of room.
For the amount we paid for room I feel we we wouldn’t pay this again to stay there as wasn’t cheap!

My weeks stay at Jurys has been excellent, the room is spacious, spotless with a huge shower. All staff are friendly, polite and helpful. Sanitizers on hand everywhere and masks worn by staff. Fresh clean towels, tea etc left in a bag at my room door everyday as i didnt want to be disturbed.(you can have your room serviced if you wish). Downstairs lobby toilets are spotless as is the bar area. Great location and quiet although there is slight humming from the AC on the roof but not a problem more noticeable at night. I will definately stay again if i visit Brighton, well done Jurys.

Stayed one night in February 2020
Modern hotel with a good standard of decoration.
Staff were friendly and professional.
Only food we had was breakfast. Buffet style with all tthe options you would expect, food was cooked well, hot and replenished when required.
Rooms were as expected, the only negative being the pillows were quite hard.
Late check out time was appreciated as was the storing of our travel bags after we checked out.
Bar lobby and restaurant area was loud (People and volume level of piped music) and busy in the evening, couldn’t find anywhere quiet to sit talk and relax.
Hotel is next to the railway station.
Hotel does not have its own parking and using public car parks is expensive and charged 24/7. Look to be spending £20 per day at least with parking charges.
Overall very good with only a couple of minor negatives.

If I’m honest I’m really surprised the hotel has a 4* rating because I feel like I’ve stayed in premier inns which have been cleaner and more up to date. It's clear the new funding has gone into the reception area and bar rather than updating the individual rooms!
The room was average, the tv was a table top tv (not a smart Tv). There was no fridge in the room and the Ac wasn’t working well, we weren’t able to switch it off. (We were advised an engineer would take a look, no one ever came. We just changed the setting to a neutral once). The lighting in the room was very dim and it appears it’s the same in other areas of the hotel. The sound proofing in the hotel was non existent. Being woken up by people speaking outside our room at 7am! I didn’t expect to be able to hear people outside of our room or when others shut their room doors.
Parts of the bathroom were dusty. The toilet paper was very cheap and you could really feel the difference. The shower head wasn’t too great. Overall the bathroom definitely needs upgrading.
I would also like to mention on one of the nights there was a knock on our room door at 9pm. We were told by the staff member/manager that we had only paid for one night of our 4 night stay. I informed him that I had paid the full amount a few weeks prior. He asked me to come downstairs to sort it out. I advised him I would bring my mobile to show him evidence. As I was getting dressed to go downstairs we receive a call and my sister picks the phone up. She’s told there was a mistake and they confirmed they had received payment. As I was the one who was spoken to, I would have preferred to have had the same energy in the apology as the energy used in coming to knock at our door late in the evening to accuse us of not having paid. Wouldn't really recommend to anyone else, you would get more for your money at a premier inn to be honest!
