Room had no milk for hot drinks. The bed valance was stained. The window blind was broken. The lift was barely big enough for one case and a person. I had to pay over £80 for one person. The reception staff were friendly.

We stayed at the White Rock for the local beer festival. Firstly when trying to book over the phone we were told the only rooms available had to be occupied the Friday and Saturday. We only wanted the Friday night, went to the hotels web site and booked just the Friday with no problems at all. The Hotel has its...

Having scaffolding and works being carried out before the season truly gets under way is understandable as the weather should be good. The mystery was, why were works not carried out in the rooms at the end of the previous season. The grouting on the bathroom floor required a deep clean, sealant was falling off and rust was attacking the...

Its a great place at the other end of the town to the old village but easily walkable. The room was all that we required during our one night stay but we did not eat here, only had a drink. Parking was a big bonus. The terrace that over looks the Pier (under construction currently) was a great place to...

Lovely clean hotel opposite the pier and beach. Bus stop just outside. The on suite was spacious and very clean. Towels and bedding changed daily. Plenty of hot water. Free internet throughout the hotel. The only minus was creaky floors, but one can put up with that.

When my partner and I realized this hotel proclaimed a 'cafe/bar' it was too late, we had already booked the first floor room above the ground floor bar terrace. However, as grouchy ex-smokers we were assured upon check in that it was a 100% no-smoking hotel, inclusive of the terrace area. Unfortunately this meant that smokers merely sat on the...

This was our second visit to this hotel and it was as good as the first and our principal reason for returning. Rooms are well equiped and spotless. Bedding and towels have a crisp feel and fresh smell. Our room had a sea view but suffered from road noise; next time we will ask for a room at the back....
