What can onze wish for in a B&B? A nice room, a good shower, clean, a good and hearty breakfast, a quiet night, a nice host, a beautiful town .... It is all there in The Prospect. And then I did not even mention the beautiful countryside.

Wonderful place and very reasonable rates for the convenient and beautiful location. Lynn gave us all a very warm welcome and ensured we were well catered for. The accommodation is clean and comfortable and the little touches made all the difference. Absolutely delicious breakfast served looking over great views of Lewes. A gem! Hope to return!

Expensive for what it is but that is Lewes! We were made welcome and had a good breakfast. The room, although not large, was clean and bright with a comfortable bed. The B& B is situates on a hill in the centre of the town. Very convenient for restaurants and shops and Lewes castle.

We stayed overnight at The Prospect after googling a place to stay centrally. A great catch - a wonderful modern conversion with parking and everything you need. I loved the room was on the ground floor so you could come and go easily without disturbing the rest of the house. Breakfast was joyful with amazing views of the town and... More

The Prospect is a super place to stay for anyone walking the South Downs Way. My bedroom, the shower and the breakfast were all excellent and Lynn was most hospitable. The house is right in the centre of Lewes, within yards of a very frequent bus service, which can take you to where the path crosses the A27, a convenient... More

We stayed in the Prospect for only night one after a wedding in the area. We would have loved to spend more time in the B&B and to explore the surroundings further. The Prospect is an amazing place to stay and you will feel home very soon. Bedrooms are spacious and clean, including free biscuits and fruit. The bathroom is... More

We stayed at the Prospect after the London to Brighton bike ride. What a fabulous place! Lyn made us feel really welcome, even though we were pretty mucky and tired from the bike ride (and very late!). Our bikes were no problem (they're a cycling family). The rooms are fabulous, clean and very comfortable. Fresh flowers, tea and biscuits, every... More

So convenient for Glyndebourne especially if you arrive by train. Just a few minutes walk from station. Loved the cafetiere and real coffee and great biscuits in the bedroom which was very comfortable and blissfully quiet. Terrific housekeeping and terrific breakfast and warm welcome and all so efficient
