Stayed here one night on business. Front area of hotel loads of character. Room clean and presentable, good location and limited parking available. Didn't use spa or pool. Areas of building looking sad and in need of tlc. Menu ok for bar food but too good for the restaurant ,would have been very disappointed had I booked a table, but... More

This review isn't about food or the hotel's accommodation facilities as my visit with a friend was just for a drink one Saturday evening. Drinks and service at the bar were fine but the toilets, oh my goodness. Dirty threadbare carpets on the stairway. The toilets were both filthy, neither of us wanted to use them. Decor on walls doors... More

Visited the White Hart last Saturday, with the high expectation of a light lunch. Wonderful old building, but we wondered if we had walked into a time warp as there was no one around in the main front lounge bar. Eventually approached a receptionist and asked if they were doing food, and was told to go to the front bar.... More

We went to the white hart for a light lunch, four adults, my 6 month old twins and my 18 month niece. Firstly access into the hotel with a double buggy wasn't easy, nobody even tried to help us in, we all took it in turns to try and open the second door to make the access bigger. Eventually got... The hotel is old and could be a real attraction because of it. Sadly it has seen better days and in some areas is in fairly pressing need of a good clean and redecoration. The staff were friendly enough, but could not make up for the hotels obvious failings. There is a spa /gym/pool within the hotel but there was... More

This Hotel is very difficult to review, the staff were great but the décor, ambience, upkeep and overall atmosphere leave a lot to be desired. We were in the old part of the building, the floors aren't level, the carpets worn, the door frames aren't square and therefore the doors don't fit. The bathroom was old style 1960,s corner bath,... Our party of 5 adults were housed in the annexe in 5 separate rooms - avoid the annexe at all cost. Old fashioned, smelly, outdated and tatty furniture and bathroom. Cheap bedding; old towels and stained carpets etc. Breakfast was average and dining room badly needs a clean - flies on the windowsill. Unhappy staff. One of our party did... More

We went to the pub for a quick meal. the car park is quite difficult as we had a disabled person with us. The service is quick and polite. The food arrived quickly and for most of us this was very good. The menu choice is good and the price is good. The only issue was one of the meals... More
