Lovely olde worlde house in a most stunning town. Exceptionally comfortable beds and relaxing spacious rooms. Breakfast is lovely with high quality ingredients. Service is small and plenty so you are not overloaded all at once, best start you could wish for. Great coffee and orange juice. Lovely tableware. Bathroom is shared but shower is good. Sharing can sometimes be...

Castle Banks Cottage is a real gem. It’s a delightful old cottage in a quiet lane close to Lewes Castle and town centre.(with lots of antique shops). My wife and I stayed in the large twin bedroom which has washbasin, tea/coffee making, TV and wi-fi. There’s a shared bathroom and also a single room. The decor, like the building and...

We were in Lewes to celebrate a friends birthday and had no time to explore but it is an attractive historical town which is well worth a visit. Our B&B was very comfortable - a lovely location, quiet but close to the High Street - and the cottage itself was full of character. Our host was very accommodating - nothing...

Without doubt the best b & b in Lewes. Spotless rooms, excellent breakfast, and a charming and interesting hostess. Very central in the town, being just behind the main street, and in the old part of the town. parking close by. I'm a regular guest, and book a year in advance to ensure I can stay there.

Castle Banks proved ideal for a weekend break and we had a great stay. Angela is a charming and helpful host, for whom nothing was too much trouble. Our twin room was attractively decorated and furnished with lots of nice touches. Beds exceptionally comfortable. The bathroom (not en suite but a few yards away) had a bath and over bath...

We enjoyed four comfortable days in 4 Castle Banks, Lewes. Our room was very clean, spacious and tastefully furnished. Angela's breakfasts were delicious and she was a very hospitable hostess. The B&B is situated in a calm, narrow street though close to the High Street and the ruins of Lewes Castle.

We really enjoyed the most part of our stay at Castle bank cottage. It is well located yet quiet and comfortable with a good breakfast. We would have given it a much higher rating but for the following. Having had breakfast at 8:30 we went back to our room to gathering our belongings together and to use the bathroom facilities...

I stayed at Castle Banks Cottage with two friends whilst visiting the area for a long weekend. We were very impressed by the quality of the accommodation. It is very clean and comfortable, and ideally suited for the town centre. Angela is very friendly and looked after us very well. Highly recommended !
