Wow! We stayed at this hotel as part of a wedding party. It is chocolate box perfect through and through. The rooms bring a new meaning to luxury. The breakfast was beyond mouthwatering. The staff were all very accommodating. The gardens and surroundings are spectacular. If you are looking for luxury in a truly English setting, tjis is your hotel....

I didn't stay at the hotel so I cannot comment on that but I can review it in terms of somewhere to pop into for a drink/afternoon tea along the river. I was disappointed when I tried to order a drink - I wanted to order a 'vanilla latte' however they didn't have any syrup flavours for the lattes. Not...

Lovely rooms with old furniture (in a good way), lots of Molten Brown products, nice touches like coffee machine. However food was disappointing, namely Sunday lunch, hardly any vegetables and dry rock hard Yorkshire puds. Bar snacks in the evening weren't great. Re staff, Michael was professional but others weren't. Examples, left a scarf after breakfast, went to get it...

We dropped in for lunch and sat in the bar. We chose the Bibury trout from the menu and it was superb. The bar was long and thin with tables and chairs either side of the aisle and we sat opposite a real log fire. The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. The only negative for me were the toilet...

The hotel is full of character situated adjacent to a river in this delightful Cotswold Village. We had a family function 10 years ago (80th Birthday) and decided to revisit this time for the 90th birthday. The booking was initially made by telephone. I was transferred to Charlotte as I wanted lunch provided for up to 20 adults and an...

Currently staying at The Swan Hotel in one of their private cottage suites. Very quiet and peaceful. Our cottage suite is very clean and has everything you could possibly want. Molton Brown toiletries, coffee maker, complimentary water, 2 tvs (really large one in bedroom). Housekeeping is excellent with everything topped up and tidied every morning and evening. Food is delicious...

7 of us ordered food and drink with the intention of spending the evening there. The staff were friendly, professional and welcoming ( but don't expect to hear an English accent!) The issue came with the 'pies' ( that are just casserole dishes with pastry on top) that were luke warm, bland and wholly disappointing. In fairness, the manager offered...

Remember eating here about 10 years ago when it was the best restaurant in the area. Not so now. Had a very average steak with overcooked chips. Beer was not kept well. Staff disinterested and brought the bill at 9:00pm without being requested. We were last there at the time and they clearly wanted to go home.

Stayed 2 nights at a lovely hotel where the staff were more than helpful and attentive. Just needs alittle tlc in bedroom/en suite. Shower tray chipped and cracked, bedside light missing bulb not replaced and side table very dusty but bed very comfortable. Lovely view from bedromm window. Although looking out over main road on sharp corner and road junction,...

Spent afternoon here. Must say the sun was shining. Wedding taking place looked beautiful against the back drop of the gardens. We had a fab lunch with plenty of cold drinks. Staff were very friendly and it was just brilliant to watch the tourists pass by and people watch, loved the setting in the heart of the village. We will...
