We have just returned from spending a night At the Dial House and were disappointed to find it was definitely not up to the standard we had experience a few years ago. We booked a cosy double and although small was adequate for one night. However the room was fairly shabby, a mis-match of furniture, not enough sockets I had... More

Room 15 top floor with beautiful view over river. Sloping floors add to character. Very friendly welcoming staff on reception and a really lovely waiter who served us fantastic breakfasts on both mornings. I can recommend the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs and coffee in abundance. The village is beautiful with wonderful gift shops.

My husband and I have been coming to this hotel for years, the big draw had always been the wonderful dining. I had vouchers for my birthday so called to book a room for the evening and a meal, only to be told the hotel is now bed and breakfast only - major disappointment, however as the vouchers were already... The good stuff: The hotel is in a lovely classic Cotswolds village and, externally, is beautiful. The staff are polite and helpful and efficient. The breakfast was outstanding, and filled us up for most of the day. The breakfast rooms and the lounge are beautiful and also in the main old house. There is free decent wifi. The grounds and... We were allotted room 12 on the first floor in a desperate building from the main house. It had a large toilet and the room was large and cosy. The breakfast was most excellent and it was clear the Chef took great pride in presentation, quality and taste. I enjoyed the porridge and had it twice for the 2 days... More

This place has huge potential and is in a prime location in the centre of Bourton, but our stay was an exercise in frustration pretty much from start to finish. Having specifically booked a Superior room based on the hotel's website it was disappointing to be shown to a Premium room (Room 2) with a rather poky shower room with... More

We booked the hotel back in June for Christmas time, a week ago we got an email saying the hotel will be closed during Christmas and we should find another place (everything else is completely booked). Thanks for nothing

My wife and I stayed here for two nights as did my cousin and her husband, it was their 50th wedding anniversary. The only criticism I had was that the place was advertised as a restaurant with rooms. It wasn't. One could not eat in the restaurant as there wasn't one. Apparently, it is to become simply a B&B which... More

Stayed at this hotel in october could not fault the staff very polite and attentive. Breakfast was very good well cooked and presented, the only problem was the 8-30 start.Car parking was no problem as there was ample space. Now for the room having booked a superior room the mismatched furniture was a let down and also having to be a...
