From the moment our group of three girls arrived at The Stables we knew we would enjoy our stay. A wonderful welcome basket, card and flowers greeted us. The open plan downstairs is a delight and was perfect for eating and cooking together and enjoying the cosy lounge. Bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. A real treat - we didn't want...

We are just coming from a lovely stay at the Forge House. The house is spacious, airy, warm and comfortable, which made it easy to make some great memories. We had a lovely hamper, Christmas tree, log fire and a personal welcome from Rowena when we arrived. All 4 bedrooms are spacious doubles (options for twins) and there living room,...

Like the reviewer below we were a group of girls on what, I hope, will become an annual weekend away. We couldn't believe our luck, Forge House is a wonderful find. There are four good sized rooms and plenty of bathrooms. The kitchen was a delight to cook in and we were left a fantastic welcome basket which included lots...

We are a group of girls who fancied a nice cottage for our annual girlie weekend. On arrival there was plenty of parking. The Cottage was visually impressive, in keeping with the Cotswolds brick. The inside was equally impressive, modern, spacious, and bright. There is enough room easily for 8. The kitchen was large with plenty of cooking utensils. Good...

Ample space for 8 adults and 3 babies/toddlers, with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The living, dining, kitchen area is great for a big group and the whole house is really well stocked with everything you could need. The welcome hamper is a lovely touch and great to have use of a gas bbq. We had the luck that the...

This immaculate cottage really worked for us (a group of 7 friends). Thoughtful touches like the welcome hamper, Christmas Tree and personally written Christmas card all provided a warm welcome and set the tone for a very enjoyable stay. All of the bedrooms were comfortable and well organised with 3 out of 4 having an en suite bathroom. Lovely large...

Lovely comfortable house. Log fire made the house very cosy although it was very chilly on arrival as it had been unoccupied. Well equipped but bring your own toilet rolls to save having to go to local shop! Two large bedrooms. House beautifully decorated an every clean. Welcome hamper lovely touch.

Just returned from a lovely week in this very well thought out cottage. It was lovely and cosy, with one of the best log burning stoves I have ever come across, perfect to return to on a cold winters night. Everything you could possibly need is here and everything has been done to a high standard. The position is excellent...

Our family of 5 stayed at the Stables at Forge House in Kemble. The Stables is a wonderfully appointed place to stay. It has all the things you need, big well done kitchen, comfy lounge areas, cosy bedrooms and washing and drying facilities. It was too warm for us to use the log fire but we were tempted. We were...

Stayed at The Stables cottage for 3 nights in September. The cottage is large, with two big double-bedrooms (with ensuites) and large kitchen with dining room, as well as a large, comfortable lounge (with log fire stove). Location is lovely, easy to go for a walk through the countryside from the house. Outside garden with barbecue and benches is also...
