Visited from Christmas eve to the 27th of December 2022. So glad we chose this family run hotel! VERY lively Christmas eve in the bar! But we heard nothing from our room! Comfortable and cosy, and that went for the whole building! Situated on the main road, which wasn't busy at that time. Lots of superb restaurants, take your pick from bar meals to Michelin star! I recommend this little hotel, and we're seriously thinking of booking for next year!!
Visiting moreton in marsh for work purposes and decided to try the Swann Inn one evening for food, I’m someone that isn’t fussy when it comes to food and often even something basic but nicely cooked will satisfy me…… I ordered chilli con carne with chips and rice, but I literally could not eat it, it was not chilli con carne but basically boiled mince with a few peppers and kidney beans chucked in, not one bit of spice or flavour that I could taste, just a bland boiled mince taste that I couldn’t stomach, the rice was also only warm and had to be broken up with the fork, it seemed to be all stuck together almost like it was reheated, the only ok thing on the plate was the chips so I ate those paid and left, can honestly say I would not return ever, I’m just can’t imagine what chef with any qualification could call that chilli con carne.…
Went for a meal tonight. Absolutely fantastic, could not fault the food and the staff, she was fantastic, almost running everything herself, what a star player. Everyone needs employees like this. Well done . Would definitely recommend to anyone. Well done all.
We called in on our way home for a quick bite to eat snd it was very nice. We had a chicken curry. It tasted healthy snd very home made and even the poppadom was lovely. Good value. So for simple food it was perfect.
Friendly welcome and attentive service. Delightful double room with four-poster bed and traditional furnishings. Well-equipped refreshments tray with 'real coffee' machine. Good quality towels, complimentary slippers, and bathrobe provided. All very clean - including the top of the canopy of the four-poster! Modern bathroom. Enjoyable full-English breakfast with vegetarian options. On-street parking nearby. A little pricey at £155 but it was a busy weekend in the town for the agricultural show so rooms were at a premium.
My stay here was not a wonderful experience. My room was small, dim and dingy, although it was described as "a deluxe double room" and cost £147.50 a night (including breakfast). One of the most irritating features of the room was that, due to the absence of any proper lighting, it was impossible to read in bed without a torch. The facilities in the room were certainly no better than average, and when after a couple of nights I asked the owner or manageress for a replacement micro-miniaturised disc of soap, she said they didn't normally hand out replacement soap until after a guest had been there three nights, although she did, grudgingly, give me one in the end. The food was at best uninspiring, and I would not recommend eating here. The one positive note was that the staff were friendly and helpful, and were obviously trying to do their best.…
Can only comment on the food, we didn't stay there. The meals at lunchtime were brilliant and the price was really good. £27 for our lunches, plus drinks and it was excellent. Friendly service too. Thank you.
Been going for a few years. We always get the most warm welcome. The room’s and beds are lovely.Breakfast and evening meal are delicious.Plenty of free parking outside in the streets.look forward to coming back next year.lovely people run this hotel
A very disappointing pub - called in to have a drink and to enjoy the Six Nations but despite the pub showing the game it wasn't overly inviting and was very basic, wouldn't take much to turn the pub around to be more successful but for now wont be returning
My friend and i booked a double and a single room for two nights.....£370 Rooms were very basic and not very clean, cobwebs hanging from a dodgy lightfitting in double room. Shower cubicle very dirty. Room number 9 looks out over back of pub and smelt of cigarettes......had to get staff to close window as it was so stiff. Breakfast ok but hardly 2 star. Wont be returning .
