Having tried to book a two night stay with a voucher I found the person on the telephone extremely unhelpful . I was completely put off by this and would not go there if you paid me. He complained that he was always getting calls from people with vouchers. Surely that is the whole point of them as it increases...

Well absolutely shocked at my phone call 5 minutes ago i felt compelled to have a look on tripadvisor! Why on earth didnt i read this before i tried to book.... I can only guess that the guy that answered the phone was the manager "John" that everyone here seems to be talking about? I just called the hotel as...

A really quirky and cosy place to stay. Beautiful room up in the roof of a wing at the back of the house. Beamed ceiling, half tester bed and lovely views of the Cotswold hills from the window. We were extremely comfortable and well cared for throughout our stay. We found the staff to be friendly and welcoming and the...

Hotel is family friendly. Our room as spacious for three people and the bed was super comfy. The shower was amazing, the best shower we had while in Europe for two weeks. Parking is very difficult and the WIFI did not work in our room at all (top floor, attic conversion). We needed to go down to the lobby to...

We found this lovely little hidden gem in the Cotswolds. We spoilt ourselves by choosing the pool room which is the most expensive but it's a little suite more than a room . You have private access to the pool . Very private and quite special . There was a little problem with the noise from a neighbouring pub at...

We had the Arabian Nights room which lacked an outside window and felt a bit like a dungeon. The furnishings were a little shabby and the heating failed one night as did the hot water so bath in the morning. Our room was on a separate boiler which once we reported it was corrected unfortunately we were leaving that morning....

We recently stayed at Cardynham House as we had received a voucher from my in-laws. It is a lovely place in a picturesque setting. I am unable to give it 5/5 for a few reasons. Firstly, on arrival at 4:45pm, we had to ring the doorbell a few times before anybody came to let us in. This wouldn't be a...

Stayed here whilst attending Cheltenham races. Delightful room - small patch of damp in corner - but its an old property. Disliked having to order breakfast the evening before - how do you know how hungry you are going to feel in the morning. Staff obliging. Ate in bistro two nights - food good and not overly expensive. Parking can...

Whatever you're expecting, it won't be quite what you get; this very old building shares the unusual character of Painswick itself, and seems to be an organic collection of ongoing building projects. We stayed in the Arabian Nights suite, which had a fabulous bath and oozed cosy romantic charm. We ate at the bistro where the food and chianti were...

We stayed here with family using a gift voucher. Whilst I can accept quirkiness and someone needing TLC, I cannot accept somewhere being dirty. Our room was dark, dusty had cobwebs on the windows and beams and the carpets had not been vacuumed. We wrote clean me in the dust of the mirror but the next day the hint still...
