A wonderful break. The hotel is beautiful, food lovely, room was immaculate and location stunning. We visited nearby Rococo Gardens then ate in the hotel restaurant in the evening which was great. We went on one of hotels recommended walks, you can borrow wellies, umbrellas and even raincoats. It was great, lots of fresh air and peace. We'll definitely return.

I am loathe to criticise this place so I will start with the positives, of which there are many. Beautifully refurbished, well trained staff (Shamek in the bar - excellent guy), big rooms, quiet at night, lots of thoughtful touches throughout the hotel and a charming village. The one fault I would highlight, and I feel sure this is due...

Completely blown away by The Painswick. Great hotel with fabulous furnishings in a very chic style. Very attentive staff and very good food. Very trendy and very comfortable with wonderful walks and view on your doorstep. Also has a great bar. I can't recommend it highly enough and I can't wait to return.

This small hotel in the quaint village of Painswick (there is very little there) is the perfect little hideaway from the world at large. There are spa treatments available and walks recommended (wellies, macs and umbrellas are also provided plus the offer of a pick-up in the Painswick car if you get tired). There is also a games rooms including...

The Times reckons this is its hotel of the year and it is admittedly in a beautiful building. We didn't eat but popped in for a cocktail, even The Times said they were steep at £13 and at that price you expect something special. Ours were fruity, sugary concoctions with no discernible trace of a alcohol. A rip off.

We stayed here for one evening as a Christmas present, and cannot praise it highly enough. From when we arrived, until when we left the staff made sure nothing was too much to ask. The rooms were great quality, and very 'homely' decorated, lovely bed and facilities. In addition to this, the attention to detail by offering things such as...

Went for lunch with my family, bit posher than we normally would... Beautiful old hotel in the heart of Painswick. Not your traditional Sunday lunch but everything on the menu we ordered was nice enough. I would have given it 3.5 if I could, service a bit slow and they brought out the wrong dishes twice.

22nd to 25th January 2017 The special birthday surprise was planned for months in advance and the entire team fully participated with enthusiasm in every detail! The surprises planned and the surprise guests who had to be hastily rearranged at the eleventh hour when diaries clashed or events overtook dates booked. Nothing was too much trouble. This is a hotel...

I was originally getting married at Cotswold 88 (pre the painswick) they shut down n messed us about. Then the company that run the (now) painswick took over and gave us the most wonderful, personal service. We got married at their sister hotel in the end but had such a fantastic experience that we now regularly go to the painswick....

We love the Calcott Manor group of hotels so we're keen to try this one. We certainly weren't disappointed. In fact I'd go so far as to say this was one of the best weekends away in a long time. The staff were fantastic - nothing was too much, the food wonderful and the hotel itself gorgeous. The only teeny...
