My wife and I stayed at The Imperial for one night in order to attend a friends 60th. Good location next to the railway station. Easy check in - friendly staff - lovely room - incredibly comfortable bed - good breakfast. Would certainly return. Thanks for a great weekend.

I have known The Imperial for years, and was excited to be able to spend a night there last Friday with my eldest daughter. We had a lovely time visiting old friends and haunts in and around Stroud. We had a nice big twin room with tea and coffee, and a good bathroom with bath and shower, and soap and...

We stayed overnight whilst attending nearby Badminton Horse Trials. The Imperial was fairly large and next to the local station (although we heard no train noise during our stay). Rooms were comfortable and clean, although the bed and pillows were a bit soft for me. The restaurant downstairs serves Thai, which we didnt have. We also left early before breakfast,...

Arrived here for two days to visit Badminton horse trials. We had a lovely welcome and had our bags carried upstairs. The room was spotless and the bathroom was clinically clean!!!. Breakfast was great. Plenty of cold variety and a super breakfast. A lovely hotel and well worth a visit when visiting that area. My sister and myself Will certainly...

One night in Stroud on a trip from Newbury to Tewksbury created a need for a bed for the night. The Imperial Hotel is right by the station with a small but very useful car park. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff hospitable. Full english breakfast was prompt and hot.

I stayed at the imperial for one night - not a great nights stay in regards to sleeping - there was a constant beeping throughout the night which didn't stop until around 6am. You can't fault the location and the staffs hospitality, they were great. I felt the hotel needs a good clean in all public areas and also very...

Dear MV_240687, Sorry to hear that you didn't sleep well during your stay with us. We are pleased to know that you were happy with our service and the hotel location. The hotel public areas are cleaned on a day to day basis but unfortunately due to our central location, people drop all sorts of things on the pavement all...

The Imperial is a once-grand hotel which although now slightly faded is nonetheless a very pleasant place to stay. We found staff to be very helpful and friendly and super-clean bedroom and bathroom. It is true that there is a little noise from the car park/ station area but that is only to be expected of a hotel in the...

Went in for an early birthday snifter at 10:45. I asked what time alcohol could be served and was told "not till twelve". As I walked out I passed by a gent drinking a bottle of cider. I went by yesterday and a couple were drinking Guinness outside at 11.

Dear Flyboy192, We are sorry to hear that you couldn't have an early birthday snifter last weekend. We are only allowed to serve alcohol on weekends after midday. This is regulated by the local authorities. Residents in our premises are allowed to have alcohol at any time. I hope this explains your confusion.

On the plus side, I found all the staff I came into contact with to be helpful and polite. The room was good. Good sized comfortable bed, flat screen TV, generous bathroom, clean and spacious. The breakfast was superb. I stay in many hotels like this all around the country and have many breakfasts to compare and this is right...

The Imperial is a strange hotel in that it is quite charming but could do with an update in places....but I am sure that would then put up the price. It is very accessible for work or leisure, couples, families or solo. It's position - right opposite the station is brilliant for train users. It is very clean and smells...
