We have stayed at this hotel and others in the Group before so had an idea what to expect. We had a Sublime Sunday and took our Jack Russell with us as the hotel is dog friendly. All was excellent but what was a surprise was the attitude of the staff. Whilst not in your face and seemingly false, when...

Stayed for a romantic post- Valentine's dinner, bed and breakfast. Tempted by the location - love to walk in the Arboretum at Westonbirt - and by the decent looking vegetarian menu. Slightly concerned by the dog-friendly theme and the general air of conservatism. I needn't have been. Loved the standard room, with it's four poster bed and smart but quirky...

The hare and hounds is such a friendly, relaxing and comfortable hotel for a chilled weekend break. We took our dog with us and the hotel is hugely dog friendly to the point where the dog got his own sausages for breakfast every morning! Our room was really comfortable with a great shower and molten brown toiletries. We ate in...

My husband and I are real fans of The Cotswold Inn chain, especially The Bear At Rodborough, so our first visit to TH&H had a lot to live up to and did not disappoint. At the time of booking, the staff were helpful with questions and information, such as taxi numbers etc (Thanks, Chloe!) and when we arrived, the check...

Every year my husband books a hotel with a highly recommended restaurant for a romantic celebration of St Valentine's Day. This time our otherwise must enjoyable few days' stay at The Hare and Hounds Hotel was completely spoilt by the hugely disappointing Valentine's Evening Dinner. To begin with the tables were far too close together so that there was no...

We are great fans of Cotswold Inns. They have a dog friendly policy which ensures that our dog is made as welcome as us. Perhaps you need to be a dog lover to work for the group! So full marks to the owners. However, when stopping off at the Hare and Hounds for coffee on Sunday morning and feeling a...

Having got married in the Great Oak Hall at Westonbirt Arboretum four years ago, this hotel - right next door - sounded perfect for a Wedding Anniversary stay. We booked the romantic-sounding Game Keeper's Suite, complete with private hot tub, which induced us to arrange a late check-out to take full advantage of it! Check-in was professional, but very hurried....

My husband booked the Valentines package to celebrate Valentines AND our anniversary. We had a lovely suite (Ash) and were well taken care of on arrival. My husband had originally had a 7.30 dinner reservation but was contacted a week or so before to say they had had to move it to 8.30, which we weren't too happy about but...

My husband booked a room here for the night as surprise valentine's weekend away. We had never stayed here before but we certainly will be again! Both the exterior and the interior of the hotel were stunning, it had ample parking and everything was well sign posted and it had a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. We checked in with...

Stayed here before and loved it. This time was no different. Beautiful new restaurant and wedding venue, friendly helpful staff, rooms are extremely clean and comfortable and the food is gorgeous. I can highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back again soon.
