The lodge was very nice, clean, with a huge bathroom. Breakfast was superb. The lodge owner Danny was very friendly an gave us some very useful tips for the local area, getting around etc. Public transport in the area was fab with buses to the local towns, Southsea and Portsmouth every 10 minutes, parking at the front and in the...

Recently spent a few nights at St.Margarets and a very pleasurable experience it was. I stayed in a single en suite room which was spotlessly clean and quite spacious with a very comfortable bed. The full English breakfasts were excellent complete with very nice home made jams, and the meal was available from 07.15 on weekdays making it very useful...

St. Margaret's Lodge is well located in a quiet road, close to the sea and local facilities and not too far to the centre. A pleasant, convenient and comfortable place to stay. The bedroom was a bit old fashioned whereas the en-suite was fantastic.Breakfast was OK. Good venue for a short stay. Recommended.

It's a harmless place. The whole place is a little dated, but spotlessly clean. We stayed in Room 1, which was a lovely large room at the front of the building. Nice sofa made it extra comfy and great that you had somewhere else to sit other than the bed to watch tv or read. Close to the sea, but...

I was a little dubious about the B&B, some bad reviews here but I was late booking and this was the only one I could find with rooms. Only seems to be parking for 3 cars but we got a space, on arrival met by the manager who was pleasant, gave us our key and offered help on local facilities...

We arrived over an hour before we could officially have the room but the owner was kind enough to let us have it room early. The room was very pretty and comfortable. The towels were soft and fluffy and the bathroom had a double sink, a separate bath and shower and was spacious and spotless. Location excellent, near all the...

I stayed here a couple of nights, and this place has a "home away from home" feel to it. The staff are very friendly, and very knowledgeable about Portsmouth. Staff helpful in general as I had a cold when I stayed, and they gave me some medicine which sorted me out. Comfortable rooms, and a very good cooked breakfast in...

The St. Margaret's Lodge is more a small hotel than a B&B. It is located in a lovely area of Portsmouth with close access to public buses (the number 1 runs to the Portsmouth Dock Area) and within walking distance of restaurants & pubs. The hotel has various room sizes (we looked in quite a few after people had checked...
