Room 6, at the front of the hotel was not what I expected unfortunately. It could have been much better. The shower was horrible, black mould around the tile edges, easily remedied. The toilet was smelly, easily remedied. The two curtains were coming off the hooks, easily remedied. The windows rattled when a heavy vehicle passed by, not so easily...

A great place to stay if you're visiting Portsmouth Dockyard. We stayed just one night but will certainly go back. The room was spacious and comfortable, the bar and restaurant area warm and welcoming. Food in the restaurant is locally sourced, reasonably priced, cooked with flair by Jason and served promptly and attentively by Sarah. Portions are to say the...

What a little gem this pub is, location is superb for Portsmouth or Southsea hovercrafts, accommodation & food is second to none. I stayed in room 4, no views but a very large & comfortable ensuite room. I fully intend to stay here more often. Also the beer was very nice as well. I would highly recommend this pub for...

We arrived early, before lunch and were given a warm welcome. Even had help up stairs with our bags etc. Our en-suite room was spotlessly clean and spacious. All the staff that we came across during our three day/two night stay were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was beautifully cooked and lots of it. There is no car park on site,...
