Spotlessly clean, big rooms, funky decor, great location and an excellent breakfast! Somerset house is across a quiet road from the main Hotel building but this was not in any way an issue. The room was large, comfortable and very clean with tea making facilities. The staff were all very friendly, helpful and professional and the breakfast was of a very high standard. Parking is the only small issue as there are only a few dedicated spaces outside the main building (but the hotel will give you a residents permit to park on the street) but this did not spoil our break at all. We will be visiting again soon and bringing our little dog!

Found this place quite by accident - last minute booking Lovely accommodation away from the main building but super comfortable bed in a nice large room. Bit of an issue with a dog left in next door bedroom when owners went out (really) living a whining dog alone but dealt with quickly by the hotel tram - nothing the hotel could have done about it but worth remembering this is a dog friendly place! Highlight of the trip were two staff members. Bea on reception who was warm and friendly and also Talia who was working at breakfast. She might have been in training but Talia was urbane and worked hard to make sure all the table had everything they needed. Both a credit to the team. I'll be booking again next time I'm in the area.

I have stayed in Somerset house a few times now and always have a lovely stay, we arrived and were greeted as usual with a lovely welcome by the friendly helpful staff, we checked into our room and wow !!!!!! The place has had a new makeover and everything looked superb , with a lovely new bathroom with a very nice shower. The new decor of room looks amazing and the bed was so comfy we had a great nights sleep . We had dinner in their new restaurant the garden which was in a very nice setting and the food was great with a lovely vegan menu as well which made my wife very happy . With the beach only a stone throw away we had a lovely walk . In the morning we went down for breakfast which as always was to die for . Amazing stay can’t wait until our next visit, great job by all well done ..
