Booked a double room through booking.com, should have used Travelodge, at least you know what you're getting. Water running down inside of windows, bathroom light not working, bathroom window has no catch or way of locking, broken glass in bedroom window, need I go on....

We stayed for one night whilst attending an event in Southampton. The staff were all lovely, the lady in the bar was very friendly and the drinks were cheap. The room was a bit shabby but that didn't impact our stay. Everything was clean and the bathroom was nice with a new shower. We didn't use the hotel car park as it was full when my husband arrived so we put the car in the multistorey behind the hotel which only charged us £1. I would stay at this hotel again.

Stayed in what’s described as a ‘cosy double’ room but it was actually big. Had two double beds and still plenty of room. Bed comfy. Everything in the room was very clean. It’s needs a little work when you look around. Cracks in the sink, bednobs missing and other bits and bats. None of these things affected our stay and it was good value for the price paid. Only comment I would make is the bathroom needs a curtain for more privacy. We didn’t eat at the hotel but we did use the bar. Really friendly barman and prices are very reasonable. It’s a old hotel so creaky floorboards etc but that’s part of the experience. We paid £104 for 2 nights and thought it was good value for what we got. Parking is just behind the hotel and £5 daily. Would stay here again.

This Hotel is in a good location and that’s all is good about it on arrival the decor is dated the lift is a old fashioned type where you have to slide a inner door of the metal criss cross where you could trap a finger the floors to the room all creak carpets striped , the room while presentable was clean & spacious the bathroom the shower was just a single spray hardly to get a good shower , cracked sealant was obviously around the tiles and on opening the window in the bathroom the window frame was rotted you can put your finger in the frame , the dining room nothing special and only a mediocre of offerings .

Excellent location with lots of parking on street and also parking at the hotel. The room was clean and the breakfast was really good. Helpful and really friendly staff. Room had all the facilities you would expect there to be. It was a bit noisy in the night from the street, but that was expected being in a city centre hotel and that would happen anywhere. Amazing barman. Bed was slightly hard and not the usual choice for us. Facilities to need updating but didn't impact on our stay as it was just room for the night.
