Went to see Steve Hackett at the Mayflower - Brilliant!! Checked in at Fenland Guest House and was greeted by a very welcoming lady host. We booked a family room, with ensuite bathroom on the ground floor. It was large, cosy and clean (tea making facilities, toiletries and TV). Lots of local information provided in welcome pack. Although the guest house is located on a main road by traffic lights, we could not hear the traffic outside. The bed was huge and very comfortable and we both slept like logs. In the morning we were greeted by the Gentleman host who showed us to a seat and took our breakfast order. He was very friendly and attentive. We both ordered a full English breakfast with tea, toast and coffee. Breakfast was delicious, table service and home made. The whole experience restores my faith in the good old fashioned B&B, brilliant value for money. It is located within walking distance of the Mayflower. I would recommend this Guest House to anyone planning on visiting Southampton. I would definitely go there again 😁😁😁😁😁

Host was charming, and checkout was OK, room was lovely, towels on the bed, tea coffee sugar In room with complementary gels, 1 toilet and shower room for 8 rooms, not ideal, guest house is located on a busy road, so if your in a room there ,keep window closed, shower was poor only a trickle and water didnt flow away properly, breakfast was served too early for us on a Sunday 8 till 9,no good for us, overall it done a job for the night, but I'm afraid we wouldn't return.

I recently stayed at fenland for a overnight stop for cruise .parking was tight but manageable we booked a room for 4 adults with own bathroom with breakfast for £120 which was a good price. The room actually turned out to be 2 seperate rooms joined by a corridor with a bathroom and shower between both. Breakfast was lovely produce and very good and owners were very helpful and welcoming would use again
