Chosen at random as a place situated on our route, a friend and I had a comfortable stay in a pretty, quiet location with excellent walks directly outside the front door. Our host was kind and welcoming and we found it good value for money. I was tempted to give it 5 stars but in the interests of accuracy to...

We were a party of 3 walking the South Downs Way from Winchester to Eastbourne and stayed 2 nights. We occupied one double and one twin room located upstairs, both rooms sharing the adjacent bathroom. It is an old well maintained detached house with an impressive back garden. It house oozes character and old world charm. The rooms and beds...

We stayed here three times and will definitely stay again if we return to this part of England sometime. The cooked breakfast is tasty and made of fresh local ingredients, the house is very old and nice. Mo is the best hostess we have ever met, you really feel like being at home here! Thank you!

Phoned Mo and she helpfully took my bag so I could start to walk the Downs way to her cottage which conveniently passes her place . Very helpful stated there was no where to eat near her so I bought my own and enjoyed eating it outside lovely quiet nights sleep and a good breakfast to start my day with...

Only stayed 1night, which was a shame, we arrived very late, this made no difference, the Host was so kind, we had a lovely breakfast, The room was very nice and a comfortable bed, in the middle of the countryside, perfect for walks and Winchester is 5-minutes away.

a friend and I stopped for an overnight to complete the western end of our South Downs Way hike. We had a warm welcome, with recommendations of places to eat. Service great, breakfast....full English, delicious. Rooms are comfy and cosy and very traditional with lovely views and the location was perfect for us as its on the South Downs Way....

We walked the 2 miles out from Winchester to Complyns for an overnight stop before continuing along the South Downs Way the next day. We were met by Mo, the owner. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the area we enjoyed talking to her about our walk. Our room was bright and quite large, facing south toward the chalk hills. All...

Stayed with Mo at Complyns for the Goodwood Revival. We had a lovely stay and nothing was too much trouble, breakfast at any time we needed it. A lovely place in lovely settings, just a shame we were so busy with the Revival to enjoy relaxing here :)

Stayed at the end of June 2014, had a lovely time. Beautiful location in the middle of rural English countryside, 15 mins from Southampton airport and connects easily to the areas main road network. Great location for cycling or walking in the South Downs way. Thanks Mo for such a warm and welcoming stay!

I regularly stay at Complyns during visits to Hampshire and have done for the last four years. There is always a warm welcome and fresh cooked breakfasts in the morning. On sunny evening you can sit in the garden too and watch the countryside amongst the roses. Only about 5 to 10 minutes drive from Winchester or you can walk...
