This was a reasonably sudden work trip but it could not have been a friendlier place to stay. The landlord and lady were kind and helpful doing lovely things like making cups of tea when you arrive with a warm homemade scone. Rooms were comfortable and warm enough. They also coped with our needs for a meeting space very well....

I thought that it was probably time that I write another review as Jo and Michael have been running the hotel for over two years now and have established a strong presence in both the hotel and the functions markets. I have been coming here regularly five or six times a year for the last 8 or 9 years and...

We came here as a foursome because we had found out that the hotel is now opening its restaurant to non-residents. We were sent the menu the day before our reservation and asked to choose our meal as all food is freshly sourced locally and prepared in-house. The menu was small, just three choices for each course, but we were...

I visited Hereford to see the mappa mundi (world map) of ca. 1300 in the Hereford Cathedral. I'm so happy I stayed at the Aylestone Court, which, despite being only a 5-minute walk from the train station and a 10-minute walk from the town, is wonderfully quiet. My room was lovely, with old-fashioned furniture, a comfortable bed with six pillows,...

This is a fantastic, family run hotel. We could not have been welcomed any more warmly by Jo and Michael. The hotel itself is a beautiful historic building with all the wonderful quirky features you would expect. Each of the rooms is decorated differently with furniture in keeping. It is spotlessly clean and warm with windows that actually open. Michael,...

Great hotel with welcoming owners. We were made to feel very welcome. Our room was lovely. We stayed in the Antionette Room. Nice and clean, huge comfortable bed. The breakfast menu has excellent choice. The breakfast room is stunning. Evening meals can be provided and I'm sure if we were staying longer than two nights we would have dined in....

Aylestone Court, a truly family run hotel. Jayne, my wife, had no idea we were due to stay; a birthday surprise - made so much better by the hosts. Jo and Michael gave us a very warm welcome, and really made us feel special but, as soon as they heard it was a birthday surprise they went the extra mile...

Jo and Michael couldn't be more welcoming or eager to please their guests at this little hotel. I had a really lovely night's stay and was so well looked after. My room was enormous and comfortable (I was in the Bowes-Lyon) and I enjoyed a relaxing drink in the bar early evening. If you require a city centre hotel this...

We stayed for a function on Friday and were working to a tight timetable. The Hotel is a traditional small family run establishment in a central location. The owners could not have been more helpful in arranging short notice snacks, and even sending on items left behind inadvertently. They were so nice and provided first class value and service.
