A very warm welcome and a good size room and nice bathroom, clean and comfortable. A special mention of the lovely breakfasts with all could want, home baked bread and cooked breakfasts to order. We shall certainly stay here again when we next visit St Albans.

This was my first experience in a Bed & Breakfast so I didn't quite know what to expect but almost immediately the warmth and hospitality displayed by Gil seconds upon meeting her, I knew this would be my home away from home even for a short time. Gil almost becomes your mother during your stay here and she truly makes...

This was the first time we had visited St. Albans, and we found the town very pretty. Even prettier was this little Bed & Breakfast run by a lovely lady, Gill, it's just around the corner from the station, and we got a warm welcome into a lovely room with a monster bed with cosy soft furnishings. The room was...

I stayed for 15 days in Wren Lodge and it was fantastic! Gil attended myself as a member of her family. She ordered to me gluten free and daily free products in order to satisfied my food intolerances. The room which had en-suit bathroom was lovely and clean. The location of Wren Lodge is perfect too. The train station is...

Stayed from 19 March to 17 June 2015. Met some really wonderful people. 2 China ladies are still there and will be going home in about 10 days. A German professor who is now in the US and will return in September must count as my friend during this period. The rooms are are clean. Tina is a great worker...

We, a family of four, really enjoyed our stay at Wren Lodge. The house is lovely, the rooms comfortable and clean and Gil a charming and very kind hostess. She always had a good word and served us a very good breakfast with egg variations, cereals, freshly prepared fruit salad and toast with jam. To our big delight there even...

We stayed here for two nights and were quite disappointed. Although the house was quite charming and original Edwardian, we were surprised that the bathrooms were not clean at all. There was hair in the showers, toilet, ... One of the showers wasn't working, so then Gil offered my parents to use another bathroom. Problem was that the water mostly...
