Having previously stayed before I did not hesitate to book again on this trip when visiting with friends. Excellent B&B; spacious, clean and with tons of personality, the perfect mixture of charming but relaxing (Even has 4 poster beds!) The host Lisa goes out her way to make sure your stay is as pleasant as possible and it seems no ask is too much! No hassle free-parking directly outside the B&B along with a very easy 10 minute walk into the heart of Canterbury makes this an ideal location if you're looking for a no fuss break with all the comforts of home. Breakfast is definitely enough to keep your going through the day in both quantity and quality. 10/10 would stay again and recommend to anyone.
We stayed here for 2 nights in August whilst visiting a relative having read some good reviews. We were not disappointed - Lisa was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Our room was clean and spacious and overlooked the garden at the rear. There is a small car park at the front of the property making the location ideal for us as we were able to leave the car and take a gentle 10 minute stroll into the centre which is well worth a visit. The breakfast was excellent with a good range of options available and was served in a bright and airy room. The fresh fruit salad was delicious and the cooked breakfast was a good standard and well presented. Special requests were also catered for. I would happily stay here again.
Rooms are well looked after, clean with that vintage style. Hosts are kind and welcoming. Also very convenient location wise, since it's a short walking distance near the town centre. Would highly recommend.
Absolutely fabulous B&B. The attention to detail was amazing. The manager made us feel very welcome and showed us straight to our room which was stunning and lovely and warm, which was very welcome due to the freezing temperatures outside. The hotel has been done up to a very high standard and managed to keep its old charm at the same time! Ok n the mornings we had a brilliant breakfast as well. We would definitely stay here again!
We were blown away by the quality and spaciousness of the room and en suite, which was stunning, and also the service of the host, who was absolutely lovely and incredibly helpful. It was also very quiet considering the property sits on a main road (which we couldn’t hear).
A great place to stay in Canterbury. The host, Lisa, gives a great welcome. The room we stayed in had a four-poster bed and was very comfortable. The room itself was spacious with lots of tea and coffee. A great shower room with twin sinks. Watch out for the breakfast, they could feed an army on what I had. I had to ask for less on the second morning. It is a short walk into town with plenty of choice of eateries. Sight seeing is good for the Cathedral and the city walls, although the castle is closed for health and safety reasons. All in all the Canterbury Lodge is a place I would definitely return to.
We stayed along with friends for a weekend break and were very impressed. Our room was very spacious as was the bathroom. The location is great 10mins walk into the centre no need to use your car between arriving and leaving ( parking is off road in front of the B and B) The furnishings in the room were modern and everything you need was there, including some Chocolates on arrival. Our host was friendly and did everything to make our stay comfortable. We ate out at Chapmans fish restaurant ( nearby )and El sol ( Tapas) both very good.
Superb stay . Everything you would need. Plentiful tea, coffee and milk made available. Lots of nice touches. Comfortable 4 poster bed (room 5). Host was very welcoming and friendly. Many thanks, we will be back
We really enjoyed a relaxing break in this lovely B&B. The room, breakfast and owner were all excellent and the themed breakfast room was a lovely touch. We would highly recommend this B&B to anybody. A special mention to Lisa who was so helpful throughout our stay.
Our three night stay at Canterbury Lodge was wonderful. Our room which overlooked the garden was very spacious and spotlessly clean with a four poster bed. The cooked breakfast was without doubt the best breakfast I have ever had at any B&B I have stayed in. Three fried eggs ( yes three ) two sausages, two rashers of bacon, mushrooms and beans. Toast and excellent coffee. My wife also enjoyed her breakfast of fresh fruit, yogurt and toast. Easy walking distance to the cathedral, quite area, plenty of parking. Great WiFi. Would highly recommend this hotel.
