We had 3 nights at Iffin Farmhouse in self Catering and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment was very clean and the hosts Sarah and her husband were brilliant advising on eating out and places to go - would recommend to anyone as a peaceful location just outside the City - we were even allowed to charge up our electric car to get us home - cats donkey and pony also very friendly
PROS: (1) Hospitality. The husband-wife owners were so friendly, charming and accommodating; we really liked them. (2) Donkey & pony in front field - gentle, great with dogs and small children. Even the cats added to Iffin's relaxing atmosphere. Lovely ambience having friendly animals around. (3) Bedrooms. Comfy, spacious and very clean. Bedrooms airy - really easy to keep bedrooms cool during warm summer nights. Excellent sleeps for all of us. (4) Gardens - stunning. Huge, beautifully kept, excellent for children to play in. The owners have done a fantastic job. (5) Water pressure in the bathrooms! Incredible, powerful hot showers and quick baths. CONS: (1) Terrible, terrible plug-in air fresheners fill the accommodation with a industrial floral scent, which made the farmhouse smell like a post-poo toilet. Tip: on arrival, locate, unplug and place air freshener outside! (2) The farmhouse we stayed in looked dated. I personally liked it but I could see some towny visitors might feel that modernisation would improve the property further; bathrooms were great but kitchen dingy. (3) Country lanes leading the farmhouse. No different from any other narrow, windy country lanes but blind corners with frequent LORRYS and speedy chaps in German cars makes the drive up to, and away from, Iffin tense. OVERALL: A brilliant B&B that I would return to. Canterbury is a lovely town and you're in easy reach of other great Kent towns like Whitstable, Ramsgate and Margate. 5/5…
We booked last minute as we wanted somewhere we could take our Dog this weekend that had its own little garden to enjoy the wonderful sunshine and watch the football on Sunday! Iffin Farm has been the perfect spot for all of the above! Sarah our host was so lovely and provided everything we needed! We stayed in building 3 which sleeps 2 and was equipped with all the essentials you will need for a self catered holiday. The building is nice and airy and the patio and garden is the perfect sun trap, Morrison’s is only 5 minute drive up the road so good if you need to pop out and get a few small bits for the weekend! Bed was extremely comfortable and we loved that Sarah provided us with some fresh eggs from the chickens and fresh milk! Accommodation was very clean and pleasant and we honestly had a lovely quiet peaceful weekend here! Highly recommend and a big thank you to Sarah for making it lovely for us!…
We stayed here for a long weekend which was our summer holiday for this year. We needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of the last few months to just relax and reenergise. We made a last minute booking for one of the self-catering units. To ensure Covid-19 safety all communication was by phone and text messages. Despite our last minute booking the owners were able to get us some provisions for breakfast, which were delicious. The units were spacious, clean, warm and quiet.we had everything we needed to relax. The location was brilliant. Despite being in the countryside we only had five minutes to drive to a supermarket and also for the Canterbury Park & Ride. Whitstable is only half an hour away, so is Margate and Ashford Designer Village, Leeds Castle. We would definitely recommend Iffin Farmhouse and will be back again as there is still lots to see in the area.…
Just stayed for one night and I can honestly say the accommodation, location and service was just wonderful. Everything was clean, spotless and well organised. Although it rained we loved looking out to the open field , the smell of lavender drifting into barn and the morning alarm of the farms cockerel. Would highly recommend a stay in the barn.
A wonderful customer service, brilliant for disabled families, joyful for dogs Everything you need, wet room, good Access, they thought of everything, cost, a home from home.... Please support our local great businesses A must be visit Affordable
Only here for a night to see son at university but it was most enjoyable midweek stay. Good breakfast with very reasonable choice. I would imagine this is a great location for families in the summer and a popular choice. It was good to see the sheep as we approached the property and a glimpse of the resident cats. The use of Molton Brown shower gel etc was a nice bonus as I appreciate the cruelty free credentials ( and quality) of this brand. Very friendly and approachable hosts were a bonus.
A beautiful location, easy distance to Canterbury, with clean and comfortable rooms. Most importantly, the people are really lovely, make a mean cooked breakfast and can draw excellent maps to Sandwich
Stayed here recently with my wife . Really lovely setting and very clean rooms . The only gripe is that the little cottage we stayed in had a really small and slow shower room . I am sure that the other rooms are better . Well worth a visit though . And the staff are very friendly.
We stayed in the the chalet up the top of the paddock for few days, had the best sleep, we dont really eat brekfast so cant comment on it, we would have had an eve meal but the owner was under the weather so the lovely Grace made sure we had a take out on our first night, after that we ate out , hope Jane feels better now, would go back without a second thought.
