I must stress DO NOT STAY HERE. This was hands down the most awful hotel I have ever had the misfortune to stay in. I'll keep it short and sweet. The toilet flush came away from the wall. The wardrobe had no door. The shower curtain actually CAUSED flooding in the bathroom. I couldn't stand upright between the toilet and the sink because the sink basically overhung the toilet. How men use that loo I will never know. There are no plug sockets next to the bed. The room was next to the stairwell so the doors banged all night. The view from the window was literally a brick wall I could touch. Outside my window was a decades worth of cigarette butts and takeaway cartons which stank if the window was open. I didn't even walk into the breakfast room because I just wanted to get out of that awful place as soon as I could. Oh, and an electrical unit was broken so it emitted a high pitched beeping every five seconds the entire time. If you have a relative you secretly hate or you are trying to put someone in an insane asylum I would recommend this hotel to you. Otherwise just commit a crime and spend a night in a cell. At least the toilet would work there.

This was a great location to the city centre as well as being close to train stations and bus stops. The hotel itself had the most welcoming and helpful staff too! The room itself was standard and clean with a nice fresh smell. Will definitely chose travelodge in Canterbury again

Not what I had expected form a Travelodge to be honest. It seems like an old traditional hotel that they have bought and have done the minimum to get rooms up to an acceptable standard and to be slightly corporate. After a room change from one with a terrible outlook, things improved. Beds were good for us for sleeping, bathroom had a been 'refurbished' and had a decent shower. General room decor was very tired and the windows were old, rusty and glass was very dirty. Was ok as a place to sleep but wouldn't recommend if you have wanted to stay in the hotel to spend time chill out and relax in nice surroundings. But then that's why its much cheaper than other hotels in the area I guess....and it is in a great central location. We were also able to park there for the 48 hours without a problem for £6 a day.

Accommodation good clean and well presented. Staff polite, helpful and courteous. Had breakfast burger for dinner not that impressed with taste and quality. Breakfast average. Orange juice watery, hash browns inedible.

Great night sleep but I was in room 2 and it has a big red stain which looks like blood or wine needs doing but it was a nice room to stay in for only £70.99 a night I definitely recommend staying at the Travelodge hotel as I got a great staff discount as on of my family members work at this hotel

This hotel is in need of a major revamp. Everything was old and tired. The staff tried but the general condition of the rooms let them down. We had booked 7 rooms for the weekend and everybody was disapointed with the condition and standard of their room.

An excellent location a short walk away from the centre, kitted out bathroom, quiet and clean. Got breakfast every morning, it was busy for one of the mornings but still plenty of spaces. The bar was nice at the end of the night and for the day Nigel on the desk was super friendly and pointed me to some really good spots to see within Canterbury. An overall lovely stay!

Room was akin to staying in a youth hostel. This wouldn’t be so bad if I was paying a hostel price for the room but it cost me £212 which was unacceptable and a complete rip off. The mattress was really unsupportive (and I’m not a heavy person) and there was a hole in the bedsheets. I even paid £6 for overnight parking, told it would be ok to leave and come back later, yet on returning, no species remained so I had to park down a dodgy sidestreet overnight. A waste of money. I had other family members staying in the hotel as well who were so disappointed with their room they drove home rather than stay there the night. Breakfast was passable but that was about it. I’ll not be staying here again nor recommend it to anyone else for even half the money it cost. Given the hotel also has quite a lot of outside noise at night it is aAbsolutely terrible value for money

Excellent location and parking make this our favourite place to stay. Rooms are basic but spacious. It’s great value for money but skip the breakfast unless you go for cereal and yoghurt. Don’t expect great luxury for a basic price and you will not be disappointed. Staf is friendly and efficient.

Noisy hotel, you can hear every footstep and other things I would rather not hear. Rooms are run down, I had a broken curtain rail Bar wasn't open for the days evenings I was there. Dirty sheets House keeping didn't top up my towels or coffee upon request
