We stumbled across the Victoria hotel quite late on a Friday evening, after a long drive looking for somewhere to have dinner. The three of us were blown away by everything about the hotel - a really friendly welcome, attentive but not overbearing staff, a cosy dining space and absolutely delicious food which was reasonably priced and absolutely delicious! The wait staff were so friendly, and even though we had arrived late (after 9pm) and without a booking, nothing was too much trouble, and everyone made us feel like very valued guests. I would 100% recommend a visit, I am certainly looking forward to going back - the menu is varied and really well prepared and presented - I couldn’t fault any of it if I tried! Five stars isn’t sufficient, to be honest! Next time, I’m thinking we might make a night of it: the whole place looks very inviting - and the outside space is beautiful too. Thank you to everyone at the hotel for giving us such a lovely end to a rather long evening.

Me and my girlfriend went for our anniversary for a couple of days at The Victoria hotel. Wesley and his team were absolutely fantastic!! They unexpectedly upgraded our double room to a bigger one, giving an extra touch to our experience. The food was really tasty and the service was 10/10. Looking forward to come back!

We spent our wedding anniversary weekend at this lovely hotel. Everything was superb, our room was spotlessly clean, the carvery was one of the best we've ever had and the staff were all friendly. We highly recommend it!

The staff were very helpful. I had a minor problem with the in room kettle which was quickly replaced. They had arranged good social distancing in the restaurant and the food was very good. A friend came and had dinner with me and commented how good the carvery was
