We stayed for three nights at the Drunken Duck over the bank holiday weekend. It was the perfect location to explore the Lake District. Our room was clean and had a good bathroom. If you can, I would recommend trying to book a room at the front to enjoy the amazing views. The food was excellent and the bar had...

We regularly stay in Keswick and always ensure we make a visit to the Drunken Duck for Lunch. The Meze Board is delicious, and the Fish Finger Sandwich is just the thing after a long bike ride. We visited yesterday Sunday 30th, and I have to say the Rhubarb fool was to die for. The staff are friendly, service is...

The Drunken Duck was the perfect base for our visit to the Lake District over the Easter weekend. It is a very cosy and welcoming pub with beautifully decorated bed rooms. Full of history and proud of its heritage. Lovely local touches and low key but slick service. Complimentary flapjacks and mineral water in the room was a nice touch....

Came here a couple of weeks ago after reading good reviews but unfortunately they pub was fully booked. Managed to come back today and I'm so disappointed! Over priced and protentious food and the place itself is full of Chelsea tractor driving vegan gluten free southern idiots prattling on about London this London that! Not a very warm lakes pub...

Came across this pub, liked the name so stopped for lunch. It well deserves the awards it has earned. Food really good and staff very pleasant. Small menu so quality guaranteed, although a little expensive it is well worth the money.

We stayed at the Drunken Duck for 4 nights in March. Beautiful property in the country. Cozy bar and dining room. About 5- 10 minute drive to several nearby villages. Many walking paths near lodge. We loved our stay.

This Inn proved to be disappointing! At the prices charged we were expecting something special. It was ordinary. The location is well outside Ambleside, really in the middle of nowhere. The room was very basic. Staff were polite, not friendly but not in any way offensive. Food was good, particularly breakfast. Overall, it was "OK", but not worth the high...

Two night stay mid week involving cream tea on arrival,3 course dinner, bed, breakfast and the same again the next nights stay. Incredible value when all you pay for extra is your drinks. We also got access to the Brimstone spa through Drunken Duck - one thing you should do is take advantage of this it was amazing! We stayed...

We managed to get a last minute booking and absolutely loved the food. The prices are slightly higher than the usual gastro-pub but definitely worth it! Would recommend it to anyone visiting the Lake District. We really liked watching the open kitchen as well. The only comment is that we were a bit rushed as they clearly needed the table...

Always go back here when in the lakes as we stay locally. In the past have enjoyed excellent food and service. This time was very disappointed. Popped in for lunch over Easter BH weekend & found seat outside under veranda with our dog. Not impressed by attitude of member of the bar staff who took my order as I didn't...
