Just back from a wonderful 4 days in this hotel. The staff were amazing and could not do enough for you, everything was geared to make your stay as pleasant as possible. We were in room 5 with views over the lake and garden and I would highly rate this hotel if to plan to visit

Have had lunch @ this delightful hotel many times + have witnessed the numerous devastation by flooding. Last minute booking as a surprise for husbands birthday as never stayed. Delicious breakfast, freshly cooked + served by cheerful staff. Only criticism was poor Lamb hot pot served at evening meal. Main ingredient seriously lacking, mostly gravy + sauté potatoes. Husband had...

We stayed in Ambleside for a week and frequented this beautifully located restaurant most evenings! The food is good quality, and there is a wide range of beers/ ales to choose from! Well worth a visit.

Can't fault this place. Perfect on a sunny day to sit at the lake's edge and enjoy a drink and food (which is really good btw). Great, friendly staff and the hotel is wonderful and clean. Highly recommended, we will be back.

Our room was clean and tidy with an outside area which had a view of the lake, only downside was smokers in adjoining rooms polluting the the fresh air,...

Mentioned to waitress we were also celebrating child's birthday - nothing! Meal was literally shoved across the table at eldest child - waitress grunted at us when we said thanks...

During a weekend away, my partner and I nipped in here for food and a few drinks. We enjoyed good service and good food. Staff were friendly and attentive but not over bearing. The views over the lake topped off the evening.

Although we were staying at another hotel in Ambleside for 4 nights, we ate each night at the Wateredge Inn. It's a friendly cosy Inn and there is a very varied and reasonably priced menu. I had the Chicken curry which was lovely, also the fish and chips. Others in the group had at various times, the fish pie, the...
