This B&B was average. The room was rather small, and had an uncomfortable bathroom-nowhere to put your stuff, mirror placed at the wrong heights, no shower gel provided) whose floor needed a good sweep. It was clean enough in every other respect. It felt like the owners don't particularly care to make your experience special or different, and the place...

Stayed here recently for a couple of nights. The room was clean and facilities excellent even towels were changed after 1 night . The owner was welcoming and helpful . Breakfast was really good with fresh fruit salad as well as full range of cooked breakfast. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed in the 4 post theme room and it was Fantastic, the bed was lovely and the breakfast was just what we needed before a big hike, very friendly atmosphere and would absolutely recommend to anyone walking the district!

We stayed here for two nights on our recent visit to Ambleside. We were made very welcome by Richard, the owner. Our room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was excellent. We would recommend this as a good place to stay.

We stayed in the Arabian Room (9) which was very comfortable with enough space. The room and bathroom were kept very clean on a daily basis and breakfast was delicious (especially the poached eggs!) We managed to park 4 out of the 5 nights we stayed, but the free lay-by down the road isn't much of an issue...everywhere you walk...

Lovely guesthouse with very helpful owners. Our room was very clean and comfortable. A choice of breakfast which was delicious. Situated opposite a lovely garden centre with a maximum 5 minute walk into town if you turn right and a couple of minute walk to the lake if you turn left. Ideally situated and would stay again if we visit...

My partner and I stayed here for a short break over the Easter holidays. The guesthouse was in a great location and had everything that we needed for our stay. Richard couldn't have been more helpful with information and even lending us a map for one of our walks. Great welcome and hospitality! We will definitely be back. Thank you...

Really nice place to stay. Ambleside and the surrounding area was stunning. The guesthouse itself was spot on. Owners were very helpful. Rooms clean with nice furniture. Breakfast fantastic. One little minus was the parking - it's a small place and parking was a pain.

The breakfast was excellent .. we had the full english which was beautifully presented and served piping hot. We would definitely stay again and for longer...
