Lovely hotel in a beautiful location with some stunning views. Room was clean and well maintained. Great free car park. Exceptional customer service from Simmone on reception, such a warm welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Food in the adjoining restaurant was a little below par. Would stay again.
This is the first time staying here. We use Premier Inn a lot. This hotel is easy to find, we got parked no problem, were delighted at the location of the restaurant, got a warm friendly welcome and great advice on local area from Sally the receptionist upon arrival. The room and hotel are very clean. Our room was large and everything worked instantly a real delight, we used the restaurant both nights we stayed and the staff are lovely. I would recommend.
Lovely 3 night stay. Very friendly and helpful staff, a comfortable, clean room and although overlooking the A66 there was no traffic noise. The adjacent Brewers Fayre provides good quality and sensibly priced meals and has a pleasant bar area. Staff there also really helpful. One of the Prem Inns we've stayed at.
Really nice hotel. Very well looked after and clean. Felt very secure needing a card to get into the main hotel area. Check in very simple. Staff friendly. Good late check out. Good signal for my phone.
I stayed in the Premier Plus room and was very satisfied with it. The Staff were great and the area was perfect to get to the lakes. We were celebrating my wifes 60th birthday and a member of staff brought us two bottles of sparking perry and a small box of chocolates as a gift from the Hotel which was a nice surprise. There was plenty of really good places to eat nearby too.
We had a lovely few days in the Lakes at this premier inn, which was both ideally situated, clean with plenty of free parking. Staff friendly and professional, we ate in the restaurant for breakfast which was cooked to ordered as opposed to a buffet. A special mention to Heather doing breakfast service almost single handed, she is credit to the company.
Our stay was absolutely lovely with prestine rooms and the front counter staff were amazing. Only downside to the stay was the restaurant side. At ten pounds for a cooked english breakfast, we were told that there was not much food left and we were restricted to one item of each instead of the top your plates up if and when needed... got charged full price regardless,,,turned out to be a bit awkward in there but at least the food(that we got) was nice.....
As always the accommodation was good. The staff were efficient and friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. The hotel was quiet and relaxing and the decor was to a good standard. It was great to have a bath to soak in after a day’s walking. The restaurant was not so good with many items on the menu unavailable and very small portions of vegetables, as if they were trying to stretch them due to a shortage. Some of the food was cold and had to be sent back. The final bill was incorrect and was corrected after a complaint.
Clean and friendly in an excellent location. This is always my first choice when travelling to the lakes. Have stayed elsewhere but they have not been as clean the service has not up to the standards of premier inn at Cockermouth
We stay here several times a year. Why; The rooms are clean and we know we are guaranteed a comfortable bed with good pillows (not flat lumps). The bathrooms are spotless, towels and bed linen are of good quality. Cannot emphasise how professional and efficient the staff are, they make this P/Inn an inviting warm and friendly place to be. Must give a special mention to Heather in the Restaurant, she was exceptional. With her lovely personality she made our breakfast definitely 'the best meal of the day'. Thank you Cockermouth, we will be back soon :-)
