We stayed in this hotel on our way up to Scotland. Old family house converted into a hotel. This hotel is situated in the middle of the Lake District easy to reach all the lakes and other attractions. The service was excellent, good wholesome food and the hotel Manager was very helpful and the rooms are very comfortable with beautiful...

We were looking for a reasonably priced hotel near Cockermouth and found Broughton Craggs - although its not fancy and modern, it's a lovely traditional hotel with everything you need. The staff were friendly, the room was spotless and the bed was very comfy. Breakfast was simple but delicious with cereal, pastries and cooked breakfast available. The setting of the...

Saw this on Booking.com and read the reviews and worked out with breakfast, to be the same as Premier Inn, and a proper hotel, so thought, 'why not'. Arrived at the hotel and had to hang about a bit for the...

Attractive property run by a hard working friendly family team. Our room was clean and provided all the expected modern day facilities. The outside has attractive gardens and it is easy to imagine this place as a perfect wedding location. It has, free WIFI, its own bar area, comfortable lounge areas and outside seating in the well kept grounds. Negatives...

Visited here on trip back to England in November. The only disappointing thing was that we could only stay for one night. Dan and Lisa were great hosts, brilliant evening meal in the Restaurant, followed by a drink by the open fire in the lounge. Great full English breakfast all with local produce. Brilliant quiet village location, but only 10...

I have been to Broughton Craggs Hotel many times and I will keep coming back. The rooms are very clean and the food is great. The family that run the hotel are incredibly helpful and the location is exceptional, located just between Workington and Cockermouth. If you are in the area try Broughton Craggs.
