The Manor House Hotel is very conveniently situated on the main street of Cockermouth. Ample free parking. Very friendly and efficient staff. Obviously well trained. We booked for three nights. We could only get a twin room unfortunately, but is was well equipped and very clean despite being rather smaller than we are used to. We were room only and...

Only a one night stay but we had a nice time. Unfortunately we could only get a twin room and the beds were quite small and slightly hard. However the room was nicely decorated and very clean. Breakfast was lovely with a wide choice. And the staff all very friendly

We got held up and were running late and got a lovely call from Kane at the hotel to make sure everything was ok. On arriving at the hotel, we were greeted by Kane and Carol Ann...

There was a bath as well as shower which we appreciated after a long walk but no fan so the ensuite bathroom got very steamy, though did have a window which was difficult...

Really a nice hotel, with tremendously generous and accommodating staff and management. My trip didn't go quite as I had planned, and they went out of their way to do what they could to make it as smooth as possible. The rooms are pretty small, but nicely appointed and maintained. The beds were acceptable, as were the linens and furnishings....

We stayed for 2 nights in a comfortable double room. The hotel staff provided a friendly welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was superb, with a large selection of items on the buffet as well as delicious, home cooked local produce.

We stayed here for two nights to attend the Wedding of the daughter of lifelong friends. The Hotel was easy to locate, and in a lovely building of historical importance.
