Stayed one night here on Saturday 11th of March, was recommended by a friend of ours. £145 for the night BBD well worth it for two people. The evening meal was a three course meal and breakfast was very good too. This hotel has just been taken over by the same people who the red lion in Grasmere, they had...

Hotel is set in lovely area/setting. The room and ensure were comfortable and very clean. Four poster bed very comfortable but took up too much space in an average size room. Ensuite lighting and dressing table lighting was very poor. Food was excellent, good selection of foods for breakfast and evening meals. Fish was particularly tasty and cooked perfectly. The...

We didn't plan to stay at the Bridge House Hotel this weekend but we are so glad we did. The Bridge is in the middle of Grasmere overlooked by the church. Whilst it is not the most contemporary hotel in the Lakes, it is warm, comfortable and clean. The rooms are large (we had a family room sleeping 3) with...

Had a nice stay, very convenient location. Room was nice , bedding lovely and whole place spotless, with a lovely view of river. Staff very helpful and friendly, breakfast was excellent with prompt service. Only downside was we appeared to be over kitchen so a bit noisy, especially plumbing noises at night. Very environmentally aware.

Having visited The Bridge Hotel many times in the past it was about 5 years since our last visit. How could we have stayed away so long? It was like going home, same friendly warm welcome, comfortable rooms and excellent food. Yes, possibly it is looking a little tired and in need of a revamp but please new owners try...

The friendliness of the staff and the Manager Jane is great... nothing too much trouble and always a smile. Food menu a little restricted and the same each day... but quality great. Any hotel would be a success with Jane running it!

We stayed for two nights DBB in a superior room. The room was spotless and bed very comfortable. Jane and the staff were very welcoming and attentive to guests needs. New member Rhiad (I hope that's the correct spelling!) seemed nervous but did very well and I'm sure will be a good asset to the team. Food was excellent and...

Another stay at the Bridge House Hotel and once again another fantastic weekend. I can't put my finger on what it is but every time we go to this hotel we always end up having a great time. It's not a swish place with all the latest mod cons. But the rooms are fantastic and the food exceptional. Location wise...
