Stayed in September 2015. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The room was a delight, the food was superb and the surroundings an absolute delight. the staff were most helpful and attentive.

Just spent 2 nights here. Staff, food and rooms all absolutely perfect. The food was amazing and Robert our waiter was very lovely and obliging. Would definitely return, hopefully with friends. Grasmere its self pitifies a typical English village.

Just returned from a wonderful weekend at this lovely hotel with a group of 12 couples. This was a corporate entertainment weekend and it's the second time we've used this hotel the last time was roughly four years ago. We were still impressed and I have to say everyone thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing time and all our guests have been...

Stayed in the standard room for a birthday weekend away with my partner. The hotel staff are very helpful and friendly, restaurant is superb (although the portions on the set menu at £40pp are perhaps a touch too small even for that sort of dining). The breakfast in the morning is exceptional with a very good variety on offer (although...

Not always but in the case of the Rothay Garden, you definitely do. We went as a large family group to celebrate my father's 70th birthday and everything was exactly as we'd have wished. The hotel manages to combine the cosiness that you want in The Lakes with that touch of elegance that make it feel like a special occasion....

We discovered Rothay Garden Hotel in May while staying elsewhere in the village. We were very kindly given a tour of the premises and chose and booked our room there and then. When we arrived for our stay we were a little early for our room to be available but the welcome was warm and we had not finished our...

Don't stay here. The staff are rude (particularly the owner, Chris), and some of the waiters don't speak any English. We were also given the incorrect bill upon leaving with another customer's confidential details on. The rooms are overpriced with many having damp in the room, and the bath had limescale all over it, if you don't stay in a...

Traveling back from a business trip in Glasgow I decided to split the journey up and have a night in gorgeous Grassmere, having fond childhood memories of the place I thought this would be a nice treat. I rang around and settled upon this hotel. I was offered dinner b&b for £140. Upon arrival I checked out the fantastic room,...
