We spent another very enjoyable stay with Karen, John, Oscar and Tilly in Early February. Excellent as always in every department. Such lovely hosts and a pleasure to spend time with. The hospitality is incredibly refreshing. Beautifully appointed rooms with amazing attention to detail, fantastic breakfasts, nothing ever too much bother. We have had some very memorable holidays at Raise...

The B & B is excellent in every way. Beautifully decorated. Our room was superb, breakfast was everything you could want from home made museli to local cooked produce. No problem coming back to the room my husband wanted to watch the rugby in the afternoon this was fine. Lovely guest lounge with honesty drink table.

We had another wonderful stay at RVH this weekend, and would like to thank Karen and John for their kindness and brilliant hospitality. The guesthouse was cosy and welcoming - its been such a shame to have to leave. The room was immaculate, clean, warm and the breakfasts were (as ever) some of the best we've ever had. All of...

The property is lovely, as is one half of the hosts, John. However, the same cannot be said for the other half. I won't go into detail here, but suffice to say she invaded my wife's personal space and subjected to her to an experience that left her frightened and shaken. This is not something I would want anyone else...

We returned this month (Oct) for 4 nights. i think this must have been the 6th or 7th visit. Easedale (our room) had had an upmarket "tweak" and was very comfortable with new beds, luxury bedding and a large shower room. The view from the room is breathtakingly beautiful - rugged fells and herdwick sheep as far as the eye...

What a gem of a place this is. Set just on the fringes of the village but just a 5 min walk to the village centre. Idilic surrounding and views to die for. The couple who run the business are super friendly and make you feel so welcome. The interior decor is fantastic. We will be returning again very soon.

A real gem of a find. Absolutely delighted with our stay. Stunning views from our bedroom (Helm Crag). The owners, John and Karen were very helpful and their local knowledge of eateries was most welcome. Grasmere is a picturesque, sleepy village that is perfect for rambles and relaxation. The b&b is tastefully decorated (it could be used for film/tv), attention...

The Hospitality and attention to detail by owners John and Karen was excellent. The breakfast was the best we've ever been served. The location was ideal, breath taking mountain views and a 4 minute walk from the beautiful village of Grasmere. We will definitely visit again very SOON (if their not booked up)
