Dale Lodge Hotel is in a great location - right in the heart of Grasmere, but the decor is starting to look pretty tired, with chipped paintwork. The bedrooms are hardly spacious - in fact rather small, and the carpet was getting pretty threadbare. Stayed there in October and the room was cold - even with the heating on. On...

Spent 3 nights here and safe to say won't be staying again. We travel with our Border Collie and always check when we make a booking that our dog is accepted in whatever room we choose. Upon arrival we were told that the room that we had booked did not accept dogs. We asked to speak to the manager as...

Another great stay at the Dale Lodge to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Staff excellent as usual. My wife who is not a great fish lover had the fish and chips at Tweedies. The fish had GLUTEN FREE batter which she thoroughly enjoyed.

Lovely period building with plenty of character. Our room was very nice and the bed was ever so comfortable, bathroom was a shower only which was fine for us but could have done with a brighter colour and a shelf for our toiletries but that was our only picky fault with our stay. There is a very nice chill out...

First time staying here for a single Saturday night with my wife and 2 little dogs. Plenty of parking, lovely welcome and a free upgrade to a gorgeous room. The room looked brand new, the carpet was freshly laid and the room was spotless. Great little pub next door with a great selection of beers and food. We had breakfast...

A return visit to Dale Lodge with baby and dog for a birthday weekend. The staff are very welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. The room was very clean and spacious, food first class from lunch in the Tweedies bar to the full English in the morning. Really enjoyed our stay, all staff are a credit to the hotel,...

We've recently stayed here for a couple of nights whilst staying in the Lake District. The location is in beautiful Grasmere & the house itself is very beautiful. We were welcomed by a very friendly & polite young girl who showed us to our room. She was very helpful and friendly throughout our trip. The rooms are a pretty average...
