Darren was very friendly. Our Cockerpoo was made very welcome. Breakfast was great, rooms were very comfortable and had plenty of space. Would definitely stay again. Really useful having a parking space. Less than 5 mins from village centre. 4 pubs. All do food. Hawkshead is great.

The owner Darren was a brilliant host. The house is spotlessly clean. Very good breakfasts. The owners are dog friendly, they even leave dog biscuits in the room. There are luxury toiletries provided. Great location with its own private car park. There is a cosy lounge for you to relax in. This place is very friendly, relaxed and welcoming. If...

This was our first time staying for the Christmas market, and it will not be the last. Have stayed here before so are used to the great welcome from Darren and Roz. Was stunned by the beautiful decorations, from the huge Christmas tree in the hall, down to the decorated chairs in the dinning room. The rooms are immaculate with...

Friendly staff Darren was there to meet us on arrival and gave a nice little welcome gift to our dog which made us feel even more welcome. We had a lovely warm ground floor super king size room. Never stayed in a B&B so clean. Lovely hearty breakfast nothing to much trouble. Christmas decorations looked amazing. Would definitely recommend this...

From the outset Darren was warm, welcoming and went out of his way to ensure our stay was perfect. He is interesting knowledgeable and recommended some amazing walks in the area. His choice of pub for a meal was spot on and we ended up there two nights in a row. The rooms are gorgeous with a huge fourposter bed,...

A gorgeous georgian house, home from home. Darren & Ros are so welcoming and accommodating. A weekend trip with my 7yr old, husband, Mother-in-law and dog. Perfect for our trips to Grizedale, Grasmere and Hill Top Farm and close for a visit to Windermere, Wray Castle, Beatrix Potter world. Beds were comfy, house was warm and showers were hot. The...

Perfectly situated in a central position with the added bonus of ample on site parking at the rear of the property. After a warm welcome from our genial host Darren we were shown to our room with it's imposing four poster bed. We...
