Our 12th year staying at The Barn and just as magical as the other 11 times. A fabulous location alongside the track leading up to the Grizedale Forest yet just 5 minutes walk from the centre of Hawkshead with its plentiful restaurants, bars and tea rooms plus post office, shop and pharmacy. The accommodation is excellent with a well fitted...

Our room was extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean with luxurious toiletries and lots of extras. Fresh milk was provided for drinks in our room. The Barn has fabulous views, is beautifully decorated throughout, with the most comfortable beds, crisp, white bedlinen and lovely soft towels! The bathroom is fantastic with a great shower...

Recently stayed at this wonderful B&B in Hawkshead. The hosts do everything possible to make sure your stay is perfect in every way. Exceptional attention to detail, handmade chocolates, freshly squeezed orange juice, home baked cakes. The beds are large and very comfy, thick cotton dressing robes. Location is perfect. Definitely will return!!!!

Just had a three day break staying in the lovely Walker Ground Manor, 5 minutes walk outside Hawkshead. As usual we were greeted by Sue with tea and home made cakes - this is really the best accommodation we have stayed in in the Lake District. The whole ambience of the hotel is clean, beautifully furnished and very welcoming. Richard's...
