Stayed here for one night. From the moment we walked through the front door until the minute we left, we were made to feel very welcome by all staff we met. The general manager Fred is an absolute gem and an asset to the hotel. The hotel was immaculately clean, Rooms had everything you need, comfy bed and pillows. Breakfast was very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of staying in Kendal. Thank you
We stayed at the County Hotel for a short weekend break. The Hotel is very clean and the staff and service brilliant. Nicki on the front desk gave us a big welcome and even took our bags to the room. The Manager Jason was extremely polite and nothing was too much trouble going the extra mile. The food is excellent and breakfast was lovely a good hearty meal before going out in the lovely countryside. The Chef even did us a pack up for our lunch that we took on our walk well worth asking for. All in all a great place to stay exceptional service and had a brilliant time. We are definitely going back and we will in the future be using the Hotel often for our weekend breaks in this part of the Lake District. A Home from Home a must for all staying in Kendal. Miss it you will miss out!!…

The trip to the County was what we needed. The ambiance given by the management and staff was exceptional. The food was above what we were expecting and the service was exceptional. The only let down was the bar and what was provided there, this was down to the problems caused by the pandemic. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will be coming again.
