We popped into Kendal to have a look around and about 15:45 wanted something to eat. Most pubs would not serve food as it was "too late". However the Shakespeare Inn was open and willing to serve food all day (until 18:00 hrs).
It seemed the most obvious place for one night stay when my husband was playing in the tournament in the hall at the back of the yard.
