We stayed for tonight's, the room was beautiful and we over looked the stream. Everything you needed from a room and the bathroom was so stylish. The owners are so friendly and helpful, even telling us an amazing little restaurant to eat at. Breakfast was amazing and the homemade preserves were delicious. We couldnt have wanted for anything. Beautiful little place.

We stayed here for 3 nights during our recent tour of the lake District and Scotland. The room, which was very comfortable, overlooked their garden and adjacent fields, and a stream which originally powered the Mill and found the sound from it quite relaxing. One point to note is the B & B is located very close to the main A65 road about 4 miles south of Kendal, which is convenient for getting into Kendal but you'll possibly have some noise from vehicles - having said that, night traffic was very low and it didn't trouble us at all during our stay. Breakfast was great and Paul and Granville were perfect hosts.

We only stayed one night en-route to Skye, but this was a lovely B&B. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable and great breakfast cooked to order. My room overlooked the Mill stream which was lovely yet the excellent double glazing meant I could shut the sound out for sleeping.

What a beautiful spot. Maybe it’s the rare English sunshine, the sound of the mill race, the busy wildlife or the tremendous home made marmalade. This place makes me smile. So much so that I am writing this review whilst I am still here. Never have I stayed in a B&B that is so clean, I mean it’s immaculate. Breakfast this morning was quality, lovely fresh eggs and a basket of toast all served in the conservatory next to the mill race. The hosts are absolute gents you can see the pride they have in this business. Oh, and I have the pleasure of some nesting house martins right outside my window, a joy to watch. I’m coming back but in the mean time I have one more night to enjoy in this Lakeland gem.
