We recently stayed at Abacourt House during a one night stop over in Keswick. John & Heather were really friendly and welcoming. The room was comfortable, cosy and had a fantastic view. Great breakfast too. Would stay for longer next time!

Having stayed at the Inn on the Square the night before and the weather was good tried to find somewhere for a second night, lots of B&B didn't want a 1 night booking. Found this at 4:30 and they couldn't have been more welcoming. Location perfect no street noise unlike the night before, the room small but clean and everything... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Abacourt, but parking is at a premium in this incredibly popular destination for UK residents and foreigners. Breakfast is cooked to order and delicious. The owners take great care in their establishment, as evidenced by the freshness of paint. Gaze at the glaze on the wooden furniture, too; it's spellbinding. The only downside... More

We stayed 3 nights and were very pleased. The beautiful flowers on the front patio (even in October) made a welcoming impression. Our room was small, but adequate (not enough room to live out of two suitcases, but I prefer to unpack anyway so that wasn't a problem). Very nicely furnished. Loved the tiles in the bathroom. Wifi worked well. Short... More

We were travelling south to Blackpool. We decided to break our journey in Keswick, which we have found great for gift shopping, with Christmas coming. Having stayed at the Abacourt before we were fortunate in getting the remaining room for one night. Another great stay with a warm greeting and hospitality. Ideal because the Abacourt is within 2 minutes of... More

Thank you John and Heather for making our two night stay at Abacourt House so pleasant. This 5 room B&B oozes old world charm and is perfectly located close to the town centre. Everything about the place is of a very high calibre, cleanliness, décor, furnishings, en suite bathroom and the bed linen is so soft and comfortable. The breakfast... More

Really enjoyed staying here for three days last Septmeber. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. Choice of eggs and hot drinks. Only small hiccup was that the shower was a mere trickle. We were on the top floor so maybe this was the reason. However, showering was pretty quick and washing my hair was a no can... More

We were only able to spend one night here but would have loved to spend a week. The hosts are very helpful and our room was probably the nicest we had on our UK trip. We had a lovely bay window where we sat and had tea in the afternoon when we arrived. It was a short walk into town... More
