First time at The Highfield Hotel great position, easily walkable for lake and town centre, really handy car park. Staff attentive and very helpful, we ate their for dinner and the food was excellent even the wine was reasonably priced.Cannot recommend it highly enough, definitely will be back. Malcolm&Angela

We stayed in room 2 for two nights. Breathtaking view from our window over the fells. This older building is clean and fresh, with updated but not cold overly weird decor. Not cluttered but cozy. Wonderful staff to greet us when we checked in and also for breakfast and dinner service. The food is excellent. The setting of the hotel...

This hotel is a short 10 minutes walk from the centre of Keswick with glorious views over the park opposite to the hills and Derwent Water. It, thus, combines the best of both worlds - near to the shops, pubs etc. of Keswick but in a quiet road with lovely views. It also has its own car park at the...

The Highfield Hotel is located a five minute walk from the center of Keswick, making it a quiet but convenient place to stay if you're visiting the lake District. The rooms are comfortable and nicely appointed. The staff couldn't have been nicer and were very helpful in making dinner reservations around town. We would go back.

Lovely small hotel with good standard of food and surroundings. Friendly. Efficient. Bedroom 11 did smell a bit musty- slightly damp maybe? Evening meal a bit too pricey for us- 37 pounds a head. Would definitely go back. Great location as well.

We booked Highfield hotel on a bit of a last minute whim as the weather was going to be nice over the weekend. On arriving, the fact that there's plenty of parking was excellent as its there's not a lot of places to park if you arrive late in Keswick. The hotel itself is a beautiful building, and the rooms...

I stayed at this Inn (which also serves breakfast) and had a dinner meal here as well. First rate cuisine with creative chefs and great waitstaff. Everyone at this Inn is friendly and helpful. Historic house and cozy 19th century decor make guests feel at home but also in a well appointed home. The guest rooms bathrooms are modern and...

Stayed for one night. Pleasant greeting on arrival. Our room, number 9, had the most fantastic views of Derwentwater. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower was tiny and I had real problems directing the detachable shower head so that it did not flood the bathroom! I ended up holding the showerhead which I found more...

Location Location Location! Ideally perched on The Heads, overlooking #Derwentwater and the surrounding fells. We booked three rooms of which two were doubles and one single. Our room in the East Turret though small had a gorgeous view of the lake and fells from a turret window. Katherine the manager and her team work tirelessly to make the guests comfortable....

This was the first time my wife and I, have stayed at the Highfield, hopefully it will not be our last time. The Hotel is immaculate, a lovely lounge to relax in, a beautiful dining room and a nice little snug to have a beer or a glass of wine. We stayed half board, the breakfasts and diners were absolutely...
