This is a very-well appointed hotel set in grounds within walking distance of the town of Keswick. We used it as a starting point for day walks in the area without using the car. The room was in the old station building and was clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was impressive but why do hotels like this provide cheap,...

Spent 3 nights here, and would definitely recommend it! Every member of staff I witnessed was friendly and helpful. Lovely big bedroom and very clean. Good supply of tea and coffee. We were at the back of the hotel, so we did experience some noise in the mornings, but nothing major, and we had a nice view. Breakfast was perfect....

It was lovely to be back here at our favourite hotel in the lakes. We were very impressed by the recently renovated lounge and bar area. It is so much brighter and cheerful with gorgeous furniture, furnishings and art work. They have utilised the space perfectly. The dining room has also had a makeover too! Our room was lovely too,...

First time at Keswick Country House Hotel on a four night break for my husband's birthday and I was very impressed. Set in lovely grounds, the hotel is in an ideal location, about 6-7 minutes walk into town. The dining room, bar and lounge areas have all recently been tastefully refurbished in a modern style with subtle colours. Bedrooms, although...

This hotel is like an Victorian old lady nestling in the countryside just outside of town. Built in 1869 it has been altered and modernised over the years with a very good heating system, it was very cold when we visited but this hotel kept us lovely and warm. The room was clean and welcoming. The evening meal was rather...

Just returned from a one night stay with family at this hotel. Totally agree with previous comments. In places the hotel is in need of refurbishment, however the dining room and lounge and bar area have been completely refurbished and are excellent. The staff extremely efficient and friendly. Dinner and breakfast very good. Our room was clean. Only one little...

Stayed here for the weekend as a couple in our 30's after being regulars in the Choice Hotel The Cliffs in Blackpool for years with our children. Hotel was clean, cleaning staff fantastic and very pleasant. Our Garden view room was on a slant and if you put a cup on the coffee table it slid off ! Restaurant staff...
