Spent two nights in May 2017. Easy to find, off A66 between Penrith and Keswick. God breakfast, cosy room. Unexpectedly fast wi-fi considering we were out in the countryside. B&B is set back from road among trees so no traffic noise.
The house is well set back from the main road, but there was more traffic noise than we expected. It was noticeable though not too disturbing. (The double glazing was very effective, but we like to have the window open!). TV reception was rather patchy....More

Yes we are fairly remote, 8 miles from Keswick and 10 miles from Penrith.
We have had no problem with fireworks for the 2 years we have been here.
