We arrived at Lane Head Farm and were warmly greeted by our hostess. She showed us to our room; a comfortable room with a four-poster bed and a roomy en suite. A car is required due to the location of the guesthouse, but the scenery and tranquillity (despite the road close by) is sublime and, only after a few hours...

Gorgeous setting, so close to Keswick but with stunning rural views and so peaceful! We were made so very welcome, and loved having use of the lounge area (we were holidaying with another couple, so it was lovely to have a comfortable area to sit and chat in while enjoying a couple of bottles of wine). We had two upstairs...

My friend I stayed at Lane Head Farm last weekend. All I can say is what a lovely place it is. But what really made it all that much better is the lovely owner Mandy. We arrived rather late around 10.30pm and on the way admittedly we did get rather lost finding the place, however Mandy actually called us to...

We have just had a delightful 3 night stay with our dog staying in room 7. Mandy (owner) was the perfect hostess and nothing was too much trouble. She made us very welcome. The breakfast and evening meals were excellent. Would fully recommend and will definitely revisit asap.

A two night, last minute stay, one adult, two teenagers. We were made very welcome by the owner Mandy, with a lovely pot of tea on arrival after a long drive. We had rooms 8 and 9 which are on their own at the top of their own staircase from main reception. You can lock the door at the bottom...

We, a party of 6 with 5 dogs, arrived very late last Friday (thanks to the super heavy traffic). Nevertheless we were warmly welcomed with sandwiches and drinks – thank you very much for that! Our dogs have been also welcomed here with treats, a towel and the possibility to go wherever we went in the house - even in...

Lane Head Farm is a real gem. I stayed one night as a base before travelling further north for a meeting in Carlisle. My room was comfortable and a good size. The breakfast was splendid and it was clear that the other guests were also having a good stay. Mandy is a splendid host and really couldn't have been more...

A great location being just a few miles from Keswick off the A66 at Troutbeck.(not to be confused with the Troutbeck near Windemere). Ideal spot for visiting many of the lakes. On arrival we received a warm welcome from Pavel together with tea and coffee - a nice touch. Our four poster room (No.6) was plenty big enough for us...
