After wandering around Keswick like Mary and Joseph finding no room at the inn. We thought we would try Skiddaw. Thankfully there was plenty of room and even had a great live band on. The food and service was prompt and we enjoyed many hours talking and eating. Lovely place would visit again.

Well furnished, bigger than expected cottage belonging to Skiddaw Hotel. The only reason I didn't mark it as excellent was the lack of hoover and general cleaning items such as washing up liquid, dish cloths and tea towels but other than that it was delightful. The food in their restaurant was lovely and I couldn't fault the service either. 9/10

Booked a 2 night weekend DBB break 17 - 19 Feb on Secret Escapes and upgraded the deal to a prestige room and oh what a room. Room 63, lovely. Ok a bit of a hike up some narrow steps to get there but when we got there .... It's at the back of the hotel with dual aspect, mostly...

The very modern and dog friendly room with the huge bed and gorgeous ensuite wet room made our stay at the end of January an absolute delight. The staff were fantastic and had thought of everything to make our stay as easy and stress free as possible - including providing towels for muddy paws. Definately a place we will be...

Stayed February 2017 on a Lakes and Tarns break. My sister and I have regularly met up at the Skiddaw Hotel every year and have a great time. Staff are friendly, the location is very central and we feel very comfortable there. This year we booked an executive twin room which was lovely. Whilst the dinner, bed and breakfast deal looks good, Keswick has such a great choice of...

Called again for a second year for drinks , warm welcome and great location. Professional staff and environment and happy to accommodate dogs and well behaved children. The drawing books for the kids were also a nice touch. Nachos were large enough for sharing.

Having stayed at the Skiddaw Hotel on previous occasions, we were prepared for the old fashioned lift (which I love), the retro decor in public areas and the warm welcome. I would imagine that this look may deter some visitors, however, the hotel is spotlessly clean and staff are very willing to help. This time, in addition, I was absolutely...

I paid £150 a night for £20 a night for my dogs. total £170 a night for 3 nights, not cheap. On the date of arrival My mother in law was rushed into hospital with a massive heart attack, I rang the...

Stayed here for a little weekend break with our dog and really enjoyed our stay. Couldn't fault any part of our stay, excellent service, clean and comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast and great location (which probably goes without saying). I think our dog Ruby will be looking to visit her new friend Cosmina again soon too haha.
