Just returned from a fantastic holiday in the Lake District. Cartwheel is the best place to stay in Keswick. Coconut Cake was gorgeous!!! Breakfast was fantastic. Keep up the good work Tina & Bernie. Can't wait for my next visit.

We have just returned from our 4th visit to the Cartwheel - and it's just like visiting old friends.Tina and Bernie are always so welcoming, nothing is ever too much trouble - whether it's help with planning walks , places to eat or visit, even drying soggy , wet, muddy clothes - if they can do it for you -...

We went to Keswick for the first time last week & stayed 3 nights at the Cartwheel. Our hosts, Bernie & Tina, were wonderful. The Cartwheel is close walking distance to everything in town, yet it is on a quiet street. The house is very clean and the breakfasts were wonderful. Tina helped us plan our stay and her advice...

Its always a good sign when you go to a guest house and they remember you from 18 months ago. Bernie and Tina at The Cartwheel Guest House did. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, nothing was to much trouble. The room we stayed in was a good size and very well decorated, the sheets folded...

I stayed here this past weekend for 2 nights with my mother and my sister, and thoroughly enjoyed it. There are so many b&b's to choose from in Keswick (and I have stayed in many of them!) but this one definitely stands out from the crowd for its great service and friendliness. My sister and I shared an en-suite room,...

We should like to thank you for taking the time to write this review. Our guest's comments are very important to us and your very kind remarks are greatly appreciated. One point we picked up on in particular. We both think it's nice to talk with our guests (unfortunately that's not always possible for Bernie being chained to the cooker...

All in all The Cartwheel offers very good value for money. Things are kept simple but functional, everything is really clean and you will meet the best hosts you can imagine. Parking is available on the street, but depending on the time of arrival the search for a parking space can be a bit tiresome. My room was a single...

My friend and I really enjoyed our stay at the Cartwheel. It is situated in a very quiet area and is only a short walk from the town center. The owners were absolutely lovely and it almost felt like visiting relatives! The food was simply delicious, we got homemade packed lunches for our walks and there always was homemade cake...

If you want jacuzzi baths and 60 inch plasma TV's then The Cartwheel won't be for you. However, if you want an immaculately clean premises, comfy bed, great breakfasts and two friendly, knowledgeble hosts then this should be perfect. We stayed in Room 2 which was very tastefully decorated and the bed (which could be two singles if preferred) was...
