Beautiful, clean comfy B&B close to the town and Derwent Water. You walk out the door and everything is an easy stroll away.

We absolutely loved Howe Keld. Everything from the very comfy rooms, amazing breakfasts, perfect location and extremely warm welcome made this trip to the Lake District beyond our expectations. Highly recommend this B&B.
My husband and I stayed here for two nights in August after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor and we were not disappointed. Laura and Jerome were wonderful hosts...Laura was very helpful with giving us tips for travelling around Derwentwater. Jerome did an amazing job...More
All reviews are great on this place - new owners (2 years now) have maintained the high degree of friendly service and excellent breakfasts as previous owners. Laura is English, Jermone is Swiss; they previously ran a restaurant in Verbier, Switzerland. Rooms are largish, comfortable...More
My second stay at Howe Keld was just as good as the first in spite of a change of ownership between visits. The rooms are large, comfortable and impeccably maintained and, although I was on the top floor, the water pressure was fantastic. The hosts...More

According to the website, we had one of these it ''twas great. : The luxury rooms are quite special; modern, spacious and high ceilinged with an Alpine ‘chalet’ style. All have King size or super king size beds. Each room has its own ensuite bathroom (separate shower and bath) with solid oak flooring. If you like natural materials these rooms are for you: Kirkstone slate, local oak, elm, beech and cherry on the floors and doors.
They face towards the pretty town of Keswick. If you prefer a front facing room and/or you are very sensitive to some town noise (other than daytime traffic and the theatre car park emptying out at around 10pm it really doesn’t amount to much) then perhaps we would suggest looking out our other rooms…but you would be missing a treat!
