Warm welcome after a big walk, sadly not serving mulled wine! Possibly the o ly place we visited that wasn't on this trip. We didnt eat but food looked wonderful. Very comfortable warm and cozy. Will definitely be back.

Booked the smallest/cheapest room as I was staying on my own for one night. What a pleasant surprise really well appointed room with everything you needed, clean and coupled with a welcoming, quick check in and excellent breakfast it made this a very enjoyable stay and I/we will definitely return and recommend to others. Thanks Royal Oak :-)

After a day out in the Lake District we arrived back in Keswick looking for dinner, we had quite a few options to consider but decided upon the Royal Oak, which is a thriving venue at the top f the Main Street. My wife and I both went for the home made steak pie which was a real pastry individual...

Had the opportunity to pop in for a quick drink whilst in keswick for the weekend. Nice atmosphere with a range of around 4 real ales and 4 Gins (along with a lot more other drinks). It does seem more catered to those dining, however we did pop in around 7.

This is a great little pub in the heart of the lakes! The Sunday roast is to die for but saying that we have never had a bad meal! Especially great after a hard days walking up the fells! Great selection of beers and a very warm welcome! Always pop by when we are local!!

We stayed in Keswick for our usual break after half term and specifically booked a meal at The Royal Oak as we had had a superb evening on a previous anniversary celebration. We booked a specific table and were told at the time of booking that it was not a problem however when we arrived the table was occupied and...

Had a couple of nights here recently. The manager and staff were excellent. The breakfast was first class and food in the restaurant was brilliant. Great location for shops, Derwent Water, pubs and restaurants. Only downside is the parking overnight off site. I would defiantly return here.

Husband, teenage daughter and I were in Keswick last weekend for a half term break and we called in on a very cold afternoon for some lunch. We were all very impressed with the friendliness of the staff and the food we chose (which is unusual for a fussy 14 year old who thought the fish finger sandwich was amazing!)....

Starter of duck spring rolls was delicious. Seafood platter for main was ok. Meant as a sharing starter really. Hot components were barely warm however. Staff efficient and friendly enough. Fire was inviting.

This used to be a great pub. The sort of place you could sit in and recover after a day on the fells covered in rain and mud. A proper Lakeland pub. Unfortunately, and Keswick is getting more and more like this, there has been a refurb and this is now more of a gastro pub than a welcome haven...
