I've been here twice for a total of two weeks in October. From previous reviews I knew the single room would be small so I didn't expect much, but I was wrong. It was the details that made the difference. Bed was very confortable, with nice linens. The decor and color scheme creates a very relaxing atmosphere. All the essentials...

We spent two nights in this lovely guest house with my partner. The room was small but extra cozy with a big bed and four pillows the only problem was the noise of the bed in every little movement which was making us feel uncomfortable. The breakfast was really nice served every morning at a reasonable time. The location is...

Thank you for your lovely review. So pleased you enjoyed your stay here but sorry to hear about the bed but never the less extremely pleased you brought it to our notice. We have checked the bed and found that the headboard had loosened from the frame. The bed has now been taken apart and rebuilt and is completely solid.

Me and a friend had a lovely week at Herdwick Guest House. The room was a really good size and the B&B is a short walk from Keswick town centre. A special thanks must go to Alex, who runs the b&b, who was really friendly and quite happy to lend a helping hand when it comes to days out and...

Stayed for a couple of nights and were at the top most en-suite room. Bed was comfortable and host was accommodating and friendly. They obtain their meats fresh from local butcher. Lots of sheep memorabilia here, very cute. Parking for most B&Bs in this area is on street only (free, first come first served). No lift, 3 stories.

Excellent B & B. Very clean room and delicious breakfast. I usually have trouble sleeping, but this was not the case at the Herdwick Guest House. Parking can be tricky at times but we always managed to find a space. Very close to the centre of town with plenty of places to eat.

My partner and I were on a much needed weekend break, so wanted peace and relaxation. The couple running this guesthouse paid attention to detail, and were genuinely interested in their guests. They shared local knowledge to ensure you had a good experience - in our case walking and exploring the area. The room was spotless and the bed the...

We stayed here for two nights for my husbands 50th birthday, from entering to leaving we were made to feel very welcome with nothing being too much trouble. We stayed in room 5 which was very comfortable and clean and had a nice view of the mountains. This was our first visit to the Lake District but definitely not our...
